The Food Security and Health Field Officer is responsible for supporting the implementation of the Community kitchens project and the establishment of mother care groups, with providing M&E data related to their relevant area of work.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Collaborate with distribution field officers for data accuracy
- Follow up with cooking staff/ local partners
- Set a standardized menu and monitor the commitment to it
- Monitor the use of set ingredients per meal
- Support the implementation of field assessments, baselines, and evaluations
- Design, plan and conduct awareness sessions on various topics.
- Support and help in the establishment of mother care groups.
- Follow up with health promoters on the progress of MCG
- Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of the project activities in targeted locations
- Participate in the development and the implementation of M&E tools and guidelines for data collection and reporting
- Observe and send feedback about the field activities to the relevant staff through the MEAL officer
- Maintain a database for M&E activities through data collection, entry and analysis
- Undertake regular field visits to monitor the project progress
- Collect and document feedback from beneficiaries
- Compile, document and report data from field for reporting purposes
- Ensure data entry and data archiving for projects data
- Perform monthly reporting on donor reporting databases as needed.
- Prepare weekly reports to the Program Coordinator and the MEAL officer
- Perform other tasks as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA):
- Computer literacy, particularly in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluent in spoken and written Arabic and English
- Willingness to travel in the field
Competencies:
- Excellent social, interpersonal and intercultural skills
- Knowledge in statistical software.
- Team work spirit
- Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Organized
Experience:
- Three to Four years of work experience
- Previous experience in humanitarian work, NGOs and/or field monitoring is an asset
Working Conditions
- Stationed in the field with frequent visits to any location IOCC is operating through.
- Visits to Beirut office for meetings, trainings, related paper work.
- Preferable that candidate resides in the area of concern
