IYCF Trainer

The IYCF trainer will be responsible for conducting IYCF trainings to healthcare providers working at Primary Health Care Centers (PHCCs). The ideal candidate will be a confident public speaker who is up-to-date on the latest tools, guidelines and resources.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  1. Liaise with IOCC team to determine training needs and schedule training sessions
  2. Update the available training material as per the latest guidelines
  3. Conduct training sessions on IYCF to healthcare providers working at primary healthcare centers (PHCs)
  4. Keep attendance and other records of the training
  5. Identify skills gaps and discuss challenges related to IYCF with the participants
  6. Perform other duties as necessary.                                 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Native Arabic speaker is necessary
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify gaps in skills.
  • Knowledge of various training methods and approaches.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Computer literacy: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

Experience:  

  • Prior experience as an IYCF trainer
  • Trainer/Member of the IYCF national committee

Working Conditions

  • Willingness to use personal car
  • Trainings to be conducted in all governorates: BML, South, Nabatieh, Bekaa, Baalbeck-Hermel, T5 and Akkar
  • Flexibility to give online training if necessary and asked by the organization
