(For more information on IOCC, please visit our website at www.iocc.org).  Title: Logistics Coordinator   Summary: The role of the Logistics Coordinator is to manage the setup, maintenance or scale up of logistics functions and responsibilities and associated staff. He / She will support the Emergency Relief Coordinator and other members of the senior management team on the best use of IOCC’s resources. The Logistics Coordinator has responsibility for the co-ordination of logistics activities within the country of operation, with the goal of safe and efficient program delivery. The post holder is responsible for effectively managing logistics staff, vehicles, assets and relief stocks supply chain as well as distributions to beneficiaries, ensuring effective and accountable logistics support to IOCC’s emergency programs in Lebanon. The Logistics Coordinator will: Coordinate all programs’ logistics (programs delivery services) in line with IOCC’s guidelines. Work closely with other members of the team to develop a logistics structure to deliver operational plans; conduct assessments, plan proposed interventions, provide overviews of logistics requirements for the development of project proposals and coordination between logistics and program teams to ensure adequate logistics service provision throughout the response. Support and strengthen country office procedures and policies as necessary for the effective management of the supply chain, vehicle fleets, communication systems, and the logistics components of the program delivery. Ensure that appropriate standards of logistics procedures and country policies are implemented and adhered to and that all logistics staff receives adequate briefing and training, and that those tools and procedures are shared and coordinated with relevant staff. Centralize the program supply chain by maintaining an effective order management system. Maintain warehouses’ stock in line with the program / response requirements, monitor storage and issue of transit and centralized stocks, ensuring the re-allocation of emergency stocks to project budgets after issue to the field, and tracking distribution. Ensure a centralized program asset register is maintained, that all program assets are logged, issued with unique asset numbers and ID cards, and are tracked throughout the country. Liaise closely with the Relief Coordinator and Finance Manager to ensure accountability, donor compliance, expenditure linked to proposals and grants, produce expenditure reports to assist the Finance team with forecasting, and manage logistic budgets in line with standard budget monitoring procedures. Qualifications: A degree in Business, Administration, Logistics or relevant field of study, or equivalent experience. At least 3 years’ experience in logistics, support services or operations management, preferably in the humanitarian sector. Strong knowledge in a number of the areas: supply chain, warehousing and stock control, transport & fleet management, and distributions.  Ability to analyze contexts, focusing at the big picture while maintaining control and awareness of all its components. Proven record of organization, management and negotiation skills implementation. Ability to elaborate, analyze, interpret and implement technical policies, regulations, procedures and guidelines. Problem analyzing and solving, decision making skills, considering available options and concentrating on results. Good communication and influencing skills. Ability to effectively communicate with multi-level personnel as well as supplies & services providers and their representatives. Ability to work independently under minimum supervision. Confortable to work in tense situations and under pressure Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic. Computer literate with a high degree of proficiency and productivity.  Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment.
