Programs description:
IOCC has many programs in health and nutrition that aim to protect the wellbeing and nutritional status of vulnerable groups in development contexts as well as in relief. Currently, relief programs target populations that are affected by the on-going Syrian crisis. The programs focus on maternal and child health, as well as the strengthening of nutrition surveillance systems in Lebanon. The aim of the project is to protect the wellbeing and nutritional status of children less than five years of age, as well as that of pregnant and lactating women in Lebanon who have been affected by the on-going Syrian crisis. The project will focus on mitigating the future deterioration of the nutritional status of children through the identification of and management of cases of malnutrition, among others.
