Summary
International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) together with its sister agency, Norwegian Church Aid (NCA), is seeking a qualified Program Coordinator to oversee NCA’s partner-based emergency humanitarian program in Lebanon.
Norwegian Church Aid is a humanitarian and development agency working in the Middle East since the 1950s. NCA struggles together with partner organizations across the world to eradicate poverty and for a just world.
Current Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) is working with its NGO partners to bring WASH services, protection & GBV programing to the most vulnerable regardless of age, nationality or creed. In 2016 NCA is looking to expand these programs.
The Program Coordinator's main responsibility is to maintain & build NCA’s programs in Lebanon though representation & developing quality programing with NCA NGO Partners.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Program & partner management/ Reporting
Quality assurance of partner proposal; Ensure compliance to partner agreement
Initiate added value programing and capacity building session with partners as appropriate
Build strong working relationship with partners & follow up on program progress on a regular basis
Contribute input in support of research and grant proposals & communication material
Monitoring & Evaluation
Site visits & reporting
Contribute to compiling and submitting data and reports as periodically required by donor and funding organizations.
Work with PMER Officer in Amman to set up monitoring system
Assist Local Partners on program evaluation
Strategic development of NCA programs in Lebanon
Prepare presentations for Representative for humanitarian program Middle East on finding and key lessons learned.
Participate in strategic thinking on programmatic advancement
External coordination & Representation
Increase NCA visibility in Lebanon though the development of quality programing
Attend sector specific meetings and NGO coordination groups
Act as NCA’s in-country representative in coordination meetings
Plan and represent NCA during donor and VIP visits
Participate in relevant ACT Alliance meetings
Qualified applicants will possess:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA):
Excellent English & Arabic language skills.
Ability to travel regionally.
Ability to work independently with remote support and supervision.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years work experience in local or international civil society organizations.
Relevant education in social science, management, development studies or related field.
Experience in emergency relief and long-term program development.
