The Project Officer will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring smooth and efficient implementation of all project activities while providing daily support and guidance to the project team.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Monitor and oversee all project activities and progress in order to meet the project’s objectives and outputs within budget and within the project’s timeline
- Act at the project focal person and coordinate with different stakeholders (donors, Nutrition sector, IYCF committee, organizations…) to ensure smooth and effective implementation of all the activities
- Take part in the identification and recruitment of the project team members
- Draft and prepare project related documentation including Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU), Standard operating procedures (SOPs), procurement and financial requests… and any relevant supporting document
- Monitor budget expenditures and keep track of the monthly financial reports
- Support and build the capacity of the team on nutrition and Infant and Young Child Feeding whenever needed
- Provide suggestions and guidance to team members to implement the activities effectively
- Create, follow up, maintain and keep record of comprehensive project documentation and reports including attendance sheets, evaluation documents, daily reports…
- Prepare qualitative and quantitative reports as per program plans and ensure timely reporting of the activities
- Coordinate with different departments (finance, procurement, Human Resources and others) to ensure efficient implementation of activities
- Represent IOCC at the relevant IYCF and nutrition meetings
- Perform other duties as required or assigned

- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English; French is a plus
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of work experience.
- Previous experience in IYCF and nutrition programs
- Previous experience in coordination and management
- Experience working for an NGO preferred
Working Conditions
- Will be based at IOCC office in Beirut with frequent visits to the field.
