Laboratory Technician At The Water Laboratory

1. ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT The applicant will work within the laboratory team of the laboratory at Rachaya Governmental Hospital. The selected applicant will be recruited by IRD, and deployed to MOPH (i.e. work and report at MoPH). 2. FUNCTIONAL STATEMENT Accountability (key results that will be achieved) -          Conducts bacteriological water testing received from MOPH and municipalities on timely manner -          Provides results to MOPH and municipalities on timely manner -          Respects the rules of the hospital -          Respects the confidentiality of the results Responsibility (process and functions undertaken to achieve results) -          Receive, register and label samples -          Fun water culture according to written SOPs -          Read results, type, and sign -          Watch and controls all activities in the water laboratory -          Attend the necessary training sessions -          Organize the schedule for reception specimens from municipalities -          Update and clean the water database -          Monitor the water testing activity on weekly basis -          Forward all results to the MOPH on weekly basis -          Performs other duties as required 3 REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, which illustrate behaviours that are essential to achieving deliverables described above, and that are critical to successful performance. -          Managing performance and resources -          Analytical thinking -          Technological awareness -          Planning -          Change capability and adaptability 4. ESSENTIAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.  Define the educational background, the relevant job experience and the language(s) that are essential to perform the work of the position. -          Lebanese Nationality -          BS in medical laboratory -          Manipulating easily Personal Computer and Microsoft office (Word, Excell, Outlook) 5. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES.  Describe any experience or knowledge that would be an asset, such as:  other training, additional languages, etc. -          Having experience in working in laboratory -          Basic knowledge of English language
