Program Coordinator

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:   Assist Program Manager in providing leadership and oversight for the program. Represent program as appropriate in workshops, meetings and public forums to share program’s accomplishments.  Supervise daily activities of the program staff. Provide staff supervision to guide their work and provide ongoing support and job coaching. Provide specific focus on all aspects of the program needs and related activities, including monitoring and evaluation the program activities. Conduct regular field visits to monitor field work and trainings’ implementation. Prepare weekly and monthly program reports, Plan of Action and success stories, and ensure effective implementation of the general program’s Work Plan. Ensure that the program activities are carried out according to IRD requirements and policies and in coordination with IRD Program Manager. Lead and evaluate the programs expenditures and accomplishments of objectives. Work closely with Finance department on financial reports, cash flows, etc. Call for staff meeting for the team to share lessons learned, experiences, observations and obstacles, and to review and update the program’s plans of actions if needed. Oversee and ensure timely program implementation according to donor’s requirements and regulations and the established detailed implementation plan. Collect program data and obtain regular statistical analysis. Assist in the development of any program related surveys and other appropriate field-based studies. Collect and use program related information as a tool for planning and managing it effectively. Develop and update computerize database for tracking beneficiaries as well as relevant information about local businesses involved in the program implementation, including financial expenditures. Ensure proper filing system is kept updated for program documentations. Make regular supervision visits to the partnering businesses in order to ensure function of beneficiaries’ tracking system. Organize and ensure ongoing exchange of information between all the partners and program senior staff. Ensure appropriate safeguards are put into place to ensure the program is implemented in a manner free of corruption or questionable practices. Any other duties as assigned by IRD.   Selection criteria/Qualifications: Work experience in INGOs with similar positions. Understanding of refugee protection issues and livelihood programs. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels. Good organization skills and ability to work with tight deadlines. Significant background in reporting, procurement and logistics. Self-reliance,strong leadership skills and problem-solving skills. Ability to work on a number of different tasks simultaneously, respecting deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy of information. Strong analytical skills and organization skills. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in a confident, friendly and tactful manner. Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Fluency in English and Arabic.
