Public Health Officer - Mph019

The incumbent is to serve as a FULL time officer to the Ministry of Health of Lebanon. the Incumbent will report to the Head of Statistics Department and will perform the following functions: TERMS OF REFERENCE -           To follow up on the reporting of Certificates of Death from the Ministry of Interior -            To liaise with the focal points assigned in each district for the proper reporting of births and deaths. -           Support the Head of Statistics Department in activities related to data collection, coding and generation of mortality and morbidity statistics, including cause of death and life tables. -           Assist in needs assessment activities related to data collection at district level, including training of focal points on internet use and online transfer of information. -           Support the Head of Statistics Department in activities related to ICD10 such as training on coding and compilation of records. -            Submit progress reports compiling the process, outcome and results analysis Qualifications requirements: -Knowledge and skills: University education in public health, preferably a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. -Experience: at least 3 years experience in the field of public health. -Competencies: Excellent coordination, and analytical skills. -Computer proficiency: Excellent computer skills and ability to manage large database. -Languages: Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic. French Language is an asset - Holder of Lebanese nationality
