Apprenticeship Officer

Job Overview/Summary: Who this position reports to: The Apprenticeship Officer reports to Street and Working Children Manager Major Responsibilities: Ensure that job placements evaluated through the consultancy results are correctly matched to youth and caregivers selected to participate in the apprenticeship programme; Ensures that contracts and code of conducts are signed by both parties and correctly stores them; Conducts weekly visit on the apprenticeship site to verify work conditions,  verify the presence of beneficiary as well as troubleshooting as necessary on the working relationship Conducts bi-weekly meetings with beneficiaries in the form of interviews or focus group discussion as more appropriate. If necessary the meetings maybe be conducted in cooperation with the Case Worker or CP Officer. Ensures that payment of beneficiaries is accurately processed;   Conducts regular meetings with all the employers Inform employers and apprentices on labour law regulations applying to Lebanese workers and youths, as well as to Syrian refugees and migrant workers; Generate reports on placements; Produce statistics and reports as and when required; Identify opportunities for program development and additional placements and communicate to the CP Street and working Manager; Other Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop IRC programs Professional Standards All IRC staff are required to adhere to THE IRC Way Standards for Professional Conduct and the IRC country employment policies. Key Working Relationships: Position Reports to:  Street Children Child Protection Manager Position directly supervises: N/A Job Requirements: 2-3 years of experience implementing vocational training programs, youth programs and/or, cash for work, preferably in a humanitarian or emergency context. Experience in community mobilization and participatory decision making highly preferred and valued Demonstrated experience and capacity in collecting field-level data, and experience analyzing field data and concisely reporting on results; Strong ability to work independently, organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility; INGO experience preferred; Personal qualities: Works well in and promotes teamwork, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well.
