Case Worker Bekaa - Child Protection

The Caseworker will conduct all steps of the case management process for an assigned number of individual children vulnerable to abuse, exploitation, neglect and violence and their families in this process Major Responsibilities: Participate and support the identification of children harmed or at risk of being harmed Provide individual case management for children in the intervention location in accordance with all case management steps and related tools and procedures Ensure the correct documentation and compilation of CM forms in accordance with all case management steps and related tools and procedures Ensure that all Level 1 cases are addressed immediately and shared with the direct line manager  In collaboration with the Supervisor, work closely with the other organization in order to ensure smooth referral Participate actively in weekly case management team meeting Provide ongoing support to families, foster and alternative care systems Communicate regularly with CM assistant for updates on achievements and challenges Support the para case worker in his/her daily activities as well as the outreach worker Any other relevant CP activities as required KeyWorking Relationships: Position Reports to:  CM Officer: Bekaa Position directly supervises:  NA Indirect Reporting: CM Specialist Other Internal and/or external contacts Internal: Bekaa field associates, PSS team and Community mobilization team External:  Other Case management agencies and local service providers Job Requirements: Minimum of 2 years experience of implementing child protection programs, preferable social work or case management, in humanitarian or development settings Demonstrated understanding of working with children and particularly vulnerable children Personal qualities: Team player, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure well and work in cross-cultural setting. Fluency in written and spoken Arabic, English speaking is a plus  Working Environment:  The Caseworker will be based in the Zahle office with frequent travel to the field including community centers, IS’s and other NGOs.
