CDC Facilitator (Aarsal) - FOR NATIONAL CANDIDATES ONLY

Job Overview:

The CDC Facilitator will be responsible for delivering activity sessions to registered beneficiaries of the community development center in Aarsal and assisting the CDC officer in the administration planning tasks related to the activities. The CDC Facilitator will be reporting to the CDC Officer.

The below sections describe the major responsibilities of the service provider (facilitator) while a clear individual annex will describe the specific expected deliverables (weekly/monthly) for the completion of service.

 

Major Responsibilities:

Session facilitation/delivery:

  • In accordance to the CDC SOPs in place – a proper planning including setting the curriculum and content of sessions to deliver to be in place in coordination with the CDC Officer
  • Delivery of activities agreed with the CDC Officer (Activities may include, gardening, cooking, knitting, first aid, computer, languages courses)
  • Scheduling of activities
  • Conducting pre and post-tests/monitoring and evaluating of activities
  • Logistics responsibilities including prepping classes, inventory checking and in coordination with the CDC Officer, a proper procurement/logistics plan to be put in place.

Registration of beneficiaries/Info desk:

  • Ensure provision of the most updated needed information according to IRC’s guidance notes;
  • Registering beneficiaries who received general information sessions, according to CDC reporting tool, in coordination with CDC Officer.
  • Guiding beneficiaries to other service providers in the area, according to their needs. 

Reporting:

  • Reporting names, attendance, data on attendees of sessions provided, to be reported to CDC Officer.
  • Reporting info desk cases to CDC Officer.
  • Registering referrals to be processed by CM of PM and legal teams, in coordination with CDC Officer.
  • Pre and Post-tests reporting, session’s evaluation.

Community Relations and Outreach:

  • Coordination with local NGOs, local authorities and other stakeholders, with the CDC Officer.
  • Coordination with OVs and community groups, to facilitate CDC activities and initiatives, in coordination with CDC Officer.
  • Integration of Refugee and Host communities, in accordance to CDC activities and initiatives, in coordination with CDC Officer.
  • Observation of trends or any other occurrences/incidents relevant to Protection team generally, and the CDC specifically. 

Upon requests Facilitators can be asked to conduct other duties by supervisor according to changes in context.

Job Requirements:

Work Experience:

  • At least three years of prior professional experience in a similar post, preferably with an international or local organization.

 

 

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Belief in human rights including gender equality.
  • Strong communication skills including ability to gain trust and build relationships with new communities.
  • Strong understanding of International Humanitarian principles.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word.
  • Very strong organizational skills, with data.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
  • Flexible and able to work in a dynamic and diverse environment.

 

Education:  University Degree in any relevant field, or professional experience in place of degree.

Language Skills:  High standard of spoken and written Arabic, Basic English language skills preferable
