The IRC Child Protection programme is seeking a Child Protection Case Worker to conduct all steps of the case management process for an assigned number of individual children vulnerable to abuse, exploitation, neglect and violence and their families in this process:
Ensure children harmed or at risk of being harmed are identified and receive individual case management support by conducting documentation, assessments, action plans, direct service provision, referrals and follow ups for an assigned case load of children
Provide support to families in the process of case management, including foster and alternative care
Directly work with other caseworkers and service providers on management of caseload and referrals
Major Responsibilities:
Technical:
Participate and support the identification of children harmed or at risk of being harmed
Provide individual case management for children in the intervention location in accordance with all case management steps and related tools and procedures
Ensure the correct documentation and compilation of CM forms in accordance with all case management steps and related tools and procedures
Ensure that all cases are addressed immediately and shared with the supervisor
Work closely with the other organization in order to ensure smooth referral
Participate actively in weekly case management team meetings
Provide ongoing support to families, foster and alternative care systems
Communicate regularly with CM Specialist for updates on achievements and challenges
Other
Collaborate closely with the other members of the CP team and the other sectors team
Directly communicate effectively with other caseworkers and service providers as part of conducting individual case management
Regularly attend case management meetings at field level
Consistently and proactively monitor/assess the safety and security of field teams; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to IRC management and liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for IRC programs
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop IRC programs

Internal: other members of the CP team and other IRC programs on the field
External: local partner
Job Requirements:
Work Experience:
2 years work experience minimum of implementing child protection programs, preferable social work or case management, in humanitarian or development settings
Experience in working in a cross cultural environment preferable
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
Team player, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure, enjoying working in the field
Demonstrated understanding of working with children and particularly vulnerable children
Good communication skills
Language Skills:
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic, English speaking is a plus
Certificates or Licenses:
Proficient in Word and excel
Working Environment: Office work and field trips
