Purpose of the Consultancy:
The Clinical Care for Sexual Assault Survivor (CCSAS) Training Consultant will be providing quality training and follow up, through on-the-job coaching sessions, to four selected health facilities in the Mt Lebanon region to build their capacity and enable them to provide quality response for survivors of GBV and sexual assault in particular. Following the training and in collaboration with a CCSAS Officer, the Consultant will ensure the implementation of Clinic Action Plans developed during the training and monitor quality of service provision, as well as provide recommendations for improvement.
Responsibilities:
Attend a five-days regional CCSAS Training of Trainers (probably in Jordan) to familiarize him/herself with the IRC CCSAS training manual and tools
Maintain contact with IRC Health and Gender Advisor throughout the life of the project to ensure alignment of Lebanon activities with IRC global CCSAS activities
Make minor adaptations to the global CCSAS tools and manual to ensure it is appropriate for trainings in the Lebanon context
Participate in the assessment of health facilities in Mt Lebanon and provide recommendations for their inclusion in the CCSAS capacity building program
Liaise with MoH and management of health facilities, as required, to ensure commitment to provision of health services to survivors of GBV, including sexual assault and rape
Act as main facilitator for two 4-days trainings of 25 participants each using CCSAS training manual and tools
Support development of a realistic Clinic Action Plan for each health facility
Conduct four follow-up coaching visits to each health facility that participated in the training to monitor quality and provide on-the-job mentoring to all staff involved in service delivery
Facilitate a reflection and review workshop at the end of the six months period to evaluate implementation of the Clinic Action Plans and capacity building process and provide recommendations for follow-up
Deliverables/Outputs
Two four-days trainings delivered
One training report for each training with recommendations for follow up
Four Clinic Action Plans developed jointly with health facilities
Follow-up visit reports for each health facility detailing challenges and quality issues observed and recommendations for improvement/corrective measures
Two one-day review workshops delivered
One final CCSAS capacity building report detailing all steps taken, challenges encountered and specific recommendations for follow up

Conditions of the consultancy
The consultant will work in coordination with the WPE Coordinator and the CCSAS Officer based in Beirut, with regular travel to four health facilities based in the Mt Lebanon region. All curricula, reports and materials designed and produced under this consultancy will be property of the IRC.
Qualifications
Experience providing services to survivors of sexual and/or domestic violence. Strong understanding of basic concepts related to gender, gender equity, and gender based violence.
Demonstrated ability to lead trainings for other medical professionals on medical and non-medical topics
Demonstrated ability to provide regular and effective technical support, mentoring and monitoring to health workers.
