Consultancy - Youth Music Workshop

Background and Objectives In Lebanon, IRC in cooperation with UNHCR is currently implementing a Child Protection program in Herme. The program includes psychosocial activities targeting adolescents and caregivers and the direct provision of case management services in informal settlements and community centers. In order to complement psychosocial activities for youth IRC would like to organize additional workshops with the assistance of NGO or Consultants specializing in music and or theatre. The main goal of these workshops is to complement IRC “My Safety, My Well Being Life Skills module” with additional activities to foster youth positive coping mechanisms building on positive communications and cooperation skills as well as  the use of the youth creative skills.  The youth were consulted in order to decide what additional activities would be more suitable for them and jointly decided to go for a music workshop. Objective: Strengthening creative cooperation and team building with youth through music Target audience and profile (age, literacy level) The target audience will be mainly adolescents from 11 till 17 years of age from r efugee communities. 5% of youth participants from host communities also allowed.  Specifically 75 youth divided in 3 groups of 25 participants each Location and length of assignment The workshop should be delivered in IRC Hermel Community center over a period of 8 weeks. Each group of 25 children will participate for 1h30 minutes session once a week for a period of 8 weeks and at the end of the 8th week every group will do a performance. Expected Deliverables Lead 3 youth groups (25 pax each for a total of 75 pax) to the creation of a melody through the use of recycled and/or innovative material, and/or kitchenware. Workshop should be conducted for a period of 8 weeks;  each weekly session lasting 1,30 minutes per group. Seek and/or provide all the relevant material necessary for the workshop. Lead a final performance of the 4 groups in front of a wider audience if the security situation allows Provide signed attendance list of all the sessions conducted; Provide final report on the activities conducted including pictures
