Enumerator X4

Under the direct supervision of the Protection Team Leader and/or Senior Enumerator, enumerators will be responsible for conducting household visits for verification with the aims of: i) cash inclusion, ii) post-distribution monitoring, iii) impact analysis, iv) Social assessments, and v) any other topic as required, and coding the data/upload on relevant electronic platforms on daily basis. During the HH assessment enumerators will also provide information material (produced by UNHCR/inter-agency working group) to refugees and answer some basic questions raised by the visiting families. In addition for regular household visits, UNHCR may request one-time and or ad hoc support to conduct household visits with amended version of the ODK questionnaire for the purpose to study the impact and use of the cash based interventions. The enumerators will also produce weekly activity reports and send them to the Protection Manager in a timely manner.  Major Responsibilities:Major responsibilities of Enumerators (not exhaustive) are listed below: Actively attend training and planning sessions on assessment methodology and questionnaires. As directed, conduct 4 to 6 household assessments/social assessments per day, with refugees living in urban areas, and informal settlements in North Bekaa. Ensure high quality data collection and that assessments are conducted in a manner that respects all respondents.  Utilize digital data collection systems for data collection, through tablet-based surveys. Ensure surveys are directly uploaded into relevant systems. Provide information material (produced by UNHCR/inter-agency working group) to refugees and answer some basic questions raised by the visited families, as well as making referrals to the protection team when needed. Produce weekly activity reports and send them to the Protection Manager in a timely manner. Work to strengthen IRC’s relationship with refugees, refugee/host community leaders and municipal actors in order to maintain good access to POCs. Conduct other duties as assigned by supervisor.   Key Working Relationships: Position Reports to:  Protection Team Leader and/or Senior enumerator (North Bekaa) Position directly supervises:  NA Indirect Reporting:  NA Other Internal and/or external contacts: NA  Job Requirements: Education: Bachelor degree   Work Experience: At least one year’ experience in an NGO, preferably in social work or sociological research. Experience working for an international organization is preferred.  Good protection background and knowledge of refugee context, as well as demonstrated ability to identify and refer vulnerable cases, is desirable. Experience in regular report writing.   Demonstrated Skills and Competencies: Belief in human rights, including gender equality. Ability to remain objective and calm in challenging situations. Demonstrated experience and capacity in conducting field-level data collection and some experience in data analysis Good communication skills, including ability to gain trust and build relationships with new communities. High standard of spoken and written Arabic and English, ability to translate desirable. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and excel. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently. Flexible and able to work in a dynamic and diverse environment.   Language Skills:  Some English language skills are desirable.   Working Environment:  Located Arsal, Hermel, North Baalbek or surrounding areas, the position will involve travel to Zahle and potentially other areas in North Bekaa, as the security conditions permit.
