IRC started its operations in Lebanon in 2012 in response to the Syrian crisis and it is currently operating along with its partners in six sectors (Protection and Rule of Law, Women Protection and Empowerment, Child Protection, Economic Recovery and Development, Education, and Early Childhood Development) across Lebanon through a diverse portfolio of funding.
Job Overview/Summary: As a member of the Human Resources department, the HR Assistant - Recruitment will support the recruitment needs of the various departments and hiring managers in Lebanon Country Program main office and field locations through sourcing, advertising, screening, interviewing, reference checking and final negotiations for open positions. S/he will also support the team in finalizing offers through executing Reference Checks, background checks, scheduling interviews, and securing proper documentation.
Major Responsibilities:
- Prepare internal communication on open vacancies
- Support in scheduling interviews for hiring managers and book relevant calendars accordingly
- Support the Reference Checking process for selected candidates through:
- Securing receipt of relevant authorizations
- Launching Reference Check process on system and guiding candidates on requirements
- Securing completion of all required background checks
- Handle the recruitment for assigned positions through:
- Understanding the needs of the position
- Sourcing and screening applications
- Conducting HR interviews and sharing recommendations
- Finalizing offers and sharing confirmation communications
- Ensure proper filing system and support with audit requests when needed
- Always maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive HR/recruitment information
- Deepen and widen the talent pools that IRC has access to and support all level of recruitment as requested
- Implement and enforce IRCs Global HR Operating Policies and Procedures; and ensure compliance with all labor laws
- Participate in review and delivery of HR/recruitment policies and procedures if needed.

External: This position might require close collaboration with IRC Partners, schools/universities, other NGO networks, etc.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor University Degree, preferably in management, human resources, industrial psychology, or related fields
- 1-2 years’ previous experience in Recruitment
- Language Skills: Excellent in Arabic and English. French is a plus.
- Strong ability to prioritize work under pressure, maintain attention to detail, and coordinate multiple tasks to meet deadlines
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity, and flexibility
- Energetic, with great networking and communication skills
Working Environment: Staff will be based in Beirut office with possible travel to field locations as requested and upon business needs.
