Job Overview/Summary: The Monitoring and Evaluation officer is responsible for managing operations of the education projects thought the M&E system to support programme management and accountability functions on the field level. You will add toward the relevance, effectiveness and efficiency of IRC programming.
Major Responsibilities:
- Accurately collects, records, compiles, cleans data and reports progress towards project objectives.
- Assists the team in providing timely internal and external reports.
- Makes sure that deliverables are as per action plans and according to high quality standards.
- Supports in identifying and synthesizing good practices and lessons learned.
- Assures daily debriefs are occurring with the education team with the appropriate Bekaa and Beirut management.
- Facilitates ICT updates to data collection tools and oversight/quality control on Data Entry via Tablets or Excel.
- Conduct monitoring, spot-check and verification visits for Retention, BLN and other IRC education program locations.
- Produce monitoring reports with focus on qualitative aspects in the field.
Key Working Relationships:
- Position Reports to: Education MER Manager
- Position directly supervises: no one
- Indirect Reporting: Education Bekaa Manager
- Other Internal and/or external contacts:
- Internal: You will closely work with Education Senior officers – to communicate what information is already being collected.
- External: Data entry/surveyors (upon need)
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Arts or Science in Economics, Statistics, or related field
- Certification or specific training in Statistics and/or Data Management highly preferred
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience in the area of M&E, research and data collection
- Demonstrated experience and capacity in conducting field-level data collection and data entry using electronic tools
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in data analysis
- Previous experience in drafting reports
- Strong ability to work independently, organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail
- Good interpersonal and analytical skills, creativity and flexibility, ability to coordinate and build consensus.
- Personal qualities: works well in and promotes teamwork, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well.
- Fluency in English and Arabic required.
Preferred:
- Certification or specific training in Statistics, Information Management and/or Data Management
- INGO experience
Working Environment: The position is based in Bekaa, Lebanon, which has a high quality of life including medical care, movement and amenities. The position is expected to travel to Beirut.
