Private Sector Engagement Assistant

Job Overview/Summary: Reporting directly to the Private Sector Engagement Manager, the Private Sector Engagement Assistant will support the smooth running of the relevant activities of the program by liaising with the program’s officers ensuring that the apprenticeship, microenterprise support and other ensuing activities are supported as best as possible.  The position is extremely important to ensure smooth communication between the various activities in both locations, Akkar and Mount Lebanon, as well as the timely completion of administrative requirements related to all aspects of the programs’ implementation. Major Responsibilities: Liaise with Private Sector Engagement Team in Akkar & Mkalles locations to ensure coordination of various activities Support in the completion of the apprenticeship weekly appraisal process (field visits included) Support in the compiling of apprenticeship documents (ToRs, MoU, etc…) Support in the documentation of the cases for the microenterprise support program Ensure that regular M&E visits to microenterprise grantees are done Process data into the local information system Support organization of events in both locations, as required. Perform other duties, as needed or requested by the supervisor. Key Working Relationships: Position Reports to:  Private Sector Engagement Manager  Position directly supervises:  NA Indirect Reporting:  Private Sector Engagement Team Other Internal and/or external contacts: Internal: (Mount Lebanon, Akkar & Beirut Locations) ERD Managers (Livelihoods, Conditional Cash, M&E, LCC) – Livelihoods Senior Officers – Livelihoods Team - Supply Chain Officers – Finance Officers – Procurement Officer - External:  None  Job Requirements: At least one year of prior professional experience in a similar post, preferably with an international organization; Excellent attention to detail and commitment to following up tasks until completed; Excellent organizational and time management skills, and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines; Solid English language skills desirable; Computer literate, experience with Microsoft office and Outlook, experience in document design and layout; Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently; and, Flexible and able to work in a dynamic and diverse environment. Working Environment:  Standard office work environment and IRC assets will include: internet connection, electricity, personal laptop and work phone.
