Protection Training Officer

Under the day-to-day supervision of the Conditional Cash Manager, and with technical oversight from the Protection Manager (Livelihoods), the Training Officer will conduct training activities for internal and external program stakeholders. Major Responsibilities: Conduct training activities for internal and external program stakeholders, both formal and informal, to support protection mainstreaming and adherence to key protection principles. Deliver structured information sessions on rights in the workplace, as well as available services and means of accessing them. Advise Cash and Livelihoods teams on mainstreaming protection principles into cash for work and livelihoods activities, and help monitor trainings and activities to provide feedback. Work with monitoring and evaluation staff to analyze the feedback of beneficiaries and draft recommendations for follow up. Field calls from the beneficiary hotline for complaints and feedback, log calls and information and follow up as needed. Support the work of the conditional cash team as necessary. Deliver trainings on conflict resolution and negotiation, in response to needs identified at field level. Contribute to data collection and analysis to determine training outcomes. Support community outreach activities, including those targeting employers. Conducts other duties as assigned by supervisor. Key Working Relationships: Position Reports to:  Conditional Cash Manager directly and indirectly to the Protection Manager Job Requirements: Work Experience: At least two years of prior professional experience in a similar post, preferably with an international organization.  Demonstrated Skills and Competencies: Experience working with beneficiaries. Strong protection experience, demonstrated ability detecting and referring vulnerable cases. Excellent organizational skills, timeliness, ability to determine priorities and great attention to detail. Proactive, flexible, team spirited and willing to learn. Good computer skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Experience developing and refining training modules, conducting training needs assessments and evaluating training outcomes.  Strong communication skills including ability to gain trust and build relationships with new communities. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word. Experience in regular report writing. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently. Flexible and able to work in a dynamic and diverse environment. Language Skills: High standard of spoken and written Arabic and English required.  Working Environment:   Standard office environment, with some travel in the vicinity of the Livelihoods Center
