(Re-Ad) Capacity Building And Partnership Officer

JOB OVERVIEW The Capacity Building and Partnership Officer will be responsible for the development and implementation of capacity building plans for IRC staff and partners in the Akkar region. He/she will act as the main focal point for the local partner IRC will identify Main Responsibilities: Capacity building IRC Conduct  regular needs assessment to understand the capacity building essentials of the team, based on a clear strategy set before in coordination with the WPE Manager or the Capacity Building and Partnership Manager Set a clear capacity building plan with the assistance of the WPE Manager and the Capacity building and Partnership Manager including clear objectives and time-line Develop detailed session plans for the trainings and learning sessions of the staff as per the form adopted for all trainings Facilitate sessions and trainings for the IRC- WPE staff as per the set capacity building plan Evaluate the process and its impact using proper evaluation tools and providing a full and comprehensive report when requested from the WPE Manager or the Capacity Building and Partnership Manager Plan, facilitate and evaluate trainings that are requested from other programs within IRC such as the GBV core concepts and other GBV related trainings Build the capacity of the IRC staff in partnership principles and effective partnering strategies Capacity Building External Facilitate trainings for other organizations as requested from the WPE Manager or the Capacity Building and Partnership Manager Facilitate trainings in technical and organizational development topics, including GBV case management, GBV core concepts, community mobilization, and other relevant topics for IRC staff and local partners Partnership Conduct Organizational Mapping to identify potential partners in the region he/she is covering. Set Clear communication channels with the partners to maintain a smooth capacity building process in coordination with the WPE Manager or the Capacity Building and Partnership Manager Develop a training program and facilitate trainings in technical and organizational development topics, including GBV case management, GBV core concepts, community mobilization, and other relevant topics for IRC staff and local partners Develop a clear Capacity building Plan based on the needs assessment and update it regularly to address identified needs Conduct regular coaching and mentoring sessions with local partner staff and mobilize other IRC’s team members to provide technical input and expertise Utilize agreed tools to monitor quality of implementation by local partners and provide recommendations to address gaps Maintain regular contact with local partner to establish a relationship based on trust and reciprocal respect and to ensure their regular involvement in IRC’s activities Support local partner during administrative and reporting processes, including recruitment of staff, submission of financial and narrative report to ensure adherence to IRC’s standard and build capacity of local partner Prepare schedule for local partner’s staff dedicated to the project to ensure coordination with IRC’s WPE team Provide feedback to WPE Manager, Capacity Building Manager, and other key WPE team members on how to best support IRC staff and local partner’s capacity building process Monitor application of key IRC’s partnership principles by all IRC’s staff and make recommendations to the WPE Manager in case of  gaps Coordination Actively participate in the Capacity building monthly meetings Ensure that all necessary requirements for successful training sessions are prepared in a timely manner in coordination with the Program Manager and Admin Assistant Develop and adapt training materials (handouts, presentations, etc.) and tools to monitor effectiveness of trainings, including pre and post-tests; Work on updating training material, modules and tools, develop facilitation guides, etc. as requested Ensure proper documentation of all training and capacity building session, keep track of the attendance sheets, and prepare reports as required Work closely and coordinate with the Senior Capacity building Officer,  Capacity building Manager and the WPE Manager Ensure the usage of the proper reporting tools for the trainings and assist other staff members if needed Keep track of staff participation in different trainings and provide a monthly combined list for the WPE manager Other Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop IRC programs All IRC staff is required to adhere to THE IRC Way Standards for Professional Conduct and the IRC country employment policies. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Who this position reports to:    WPE Manager / Capacity Building Manager Who this position supervises:   None Who this position works with:  WPE Senior Officer, Case Management Officer, Adolescent Girls Officer JOB REQUIREMENTS Required Bachelor of Science in Social Science, Public Health, Human Rights, Social Work, Psychology or other related field 1-2 years professional experience in community-based Protection or GBV programming, preferably in an emergency context Clear understanding of Gender Based Violence, gender, case management, psychosocial activities and human rights Demonstrated experience working in GBV interventions in humanitarian settings Demonstrated experience working within a partnership agreement and/or a network including national organizations 1-2 years professional experience facilitating trainings and workshops Good knowledge in training tools and techniques Experience coaching and mentoring staff on technical topics Interest in organizational development of small organizations an asset Fluent in Arabic and good knowledge of English Very good communication skills Positive and professional attitude, including ability to work well in a team setting Strong ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail. Excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
