SCOPE OF WORK:
The WPE Senior Case Worker will provide direct support and case management to vulnerable women and girls. The Senior Case Worker will be trained and supervised by the WPE Response Officer(s) to ensure effective case management and appropriate staff support and supervision.
Position objectives: Improved case management for vulnerable women and girls, including survivors of gender-based violence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct support and care to vulnerable women and girls
Provide direct support and care for vulnerable women and girls (including survivors of gender-based violence), including counseling and basic case management. Case management services will include:
Assessment of needs
Developing an action plan
Implementing the plan
Appropriate following
Case closure (if and when appropriate)
Provide direct age-appropriate and specialized support and care for vulnerable adolescent and girl children (including survivors of GBV), including counseling and case management. Case management services for survivors under the age of 18 will include the above steps of case management along with:
Best Interest Determination (BID)
Age appropriate engagement and decision-making by survivors
Do No Harm analysis
Monitoring & Evaluation, Reporting
Oversee maintenance and completion of all monitoring & evaluation tools in timely manner including utilization rates of the WGCC, outreach activities;
Prepare and submit weekly, monthly and 3-month work plans in a timely manner and incorporate manager feedback.
Oversee and support the maintenance of the IRC’s case management system and the GBV Information Management System.
Participate in weekly supervisory meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care and appropriate case management
Coordination & Representation
Work collaboratively with IRC logistics and finance staff as required to process Purchase Requests and Payment Vouchers
As requested undertake/participate in liaison, coordination, and information sharing activities with national NGOs, international organizations, donors and government
Technical support
The Senior Case Worker will provide technical support to other WPE caseworkers based in Arsaal on case management, the use of the GBV IMS, M&E tool, etc;
Work with Center based staff to develop robust work plans and reports on their activities.

Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop IRC programs

REQUIREMENTS:
• Preferred: Degree/diploma in Social Work, Counseling, Women’s Studies or other related field
• Counseling and training experience with a reputable organization, including 2-3 years of experience counseling survivors of abuse or violence.
• Clear understanding of gender inequality, and issues surrounding violence against women and girls.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients at all times is essential.
• Positive and professional attitude, able to organize, maintain composure and prioritize work under pressure, work overtime when necessary and be able to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
• Ability to work as a member of a team essential.
• Must be computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• INGO experience preferred
• Personal qualities: Works well in and promotes teamwork, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well.
• Fluency in Arabic required
• Ability to communicate in English and write clear and concise reports in English strongly preferred
