Financial consultancy
A financial consultant is requested to provide capacity building, to cover 40 working days within a period of 2 to 3 months depending on the needs of the program.
The Consultant is expected to be mainly autonomous outside initial exchanges with INTERSOS Localisation Focal Point and Finance referents to clarify any details related to the scope of the works and s/he will be technically operational from the get-go on chosen methodologies regarding the fulfilment of the present missions.
The Consultant will develop its planning and methodology of work in agreement with INTERSOS local partners, taking into consideration their needs and priorities.
The Consultant will more specifically provide the following deliverables:
1. A short inception report after the initial briefing with INTERSOS and the partners, presenting a methodology and calendar of implementation.
2. Development of a standard template for Master budget
3. Set-up of master budget for 2 local partners:
a. Analysis of initial situation with the 2 finance coordinators, understanding of how to liaise the new tool with the current financial systems
b. Adapt the standard template accordingto each organisation’s needs
c. Guide the organisations in the set-up of their Master budgets
d. Training of key staff on Master budget utilisation ensuring the system is fully operational and the team can autonomously handle it
4. Development of a Master Budget package for INTERSOS composed by:
a. Master budget template (Excel format)
b. A written guidance for INTERSOS team detailing how to help the partner to set-up and use the Master budget
c. A short training (Power point presentation) to be presented to the local partners on how to set-up and use the Master budget
Professional Requirements:
-Bachelor/Master degree in business administration, Finance, international organization management or
other -relevant field.
-At least 3 years of documented experience in humanitarian and/or development sector
-At least 2 years of documented finance management
-Experience in excel, word, power point, outlook
-Excellent organizational and prioritization
-skills and the ability to multi-task and support
-Previous experience in Lebanon is an asset
-Fluent in English (oral& written)
