JOB DESCRIPTION   Job Title:                    Animator Location:                    Chouf Region (Upper Chouf)     General duties and responsibilities: -       Work directly with children and youth carrying out recreational and PSS activities; -       Ensure that child protection principles are understood, enacted, maintained and applied; -       Inform the Field Activities Coordinator if needed about any logistic difficulty faced during the implementation of the activities; -       Inform the Field Activities Coordinator, PSS Coordinator and the Psychologist about any difficulty faced during the implementation of the related to the interaction with the children; -       Inform the Field Activities Coordinator and the Psychologist about any  children in need to be referred to the case management system -       Collaborate with and act under the supervision of the PSS Coordinator in relation to the implementation of the PSS activities; -       Act in the best interests of children and youth. -       Be responsible to any volunteers/social worker in the center   Specific duties and responsibilities:   -       Plan, organize and run the activities with the children and youth in the centers -       Ensure children under her/his responsibility are not exposed to any form of harm or stress during the activities. -       Follows security rules. -       Work for children and youth and whit children and youth: welcome them listen them play with them guide them work hard to make them feel comfortable and happy -       Plan and manage activities that are: various safe adapted to the age of the children/youth adapted to the physical and mental capacities of the children/youht adapted to the needs of the children/youth adapted to the number of children/youth attending the activities -       Facilitate and encourage the participation of all children and youth, notably the most vulnerable ones, ensuring proper attention is paid to their specific emotional and physical needs / difficulties. -       Be available for eventual training provided by INTERSOS or other organizations. -       Ensure that the provided material is properly used and kept.   Case Management: -       If needed refer children and youth attending the centers to the Psychologist.   Administration: -       Contribute to draft the weekly liquidity plan with the expenses to be done in the centers -       Provide proper purchase request of peaty cash expenditure. -       Sign daily attendance sheets.   Reporting: -       Support the Field Activity Coordinator in the development of  the following reports: a) Weekly activities planning b) Weekly activities report c) Inventory list for the material d) Monthly monitoring tool   Meeting: -       Be available for participates in meeting in the regional center or in the INTERSOS office in Tyre or Beirut with other program staff as required.   Qualifications: -       Advanced Diploma in Social Work or equivalent; -       0 to 2 years work experience in implementing recreational activities, psychosocial activities and informal/formal education activities with children and youth; -       Knowledge CP and GBV issues; -       Strong organizational skills; -       Strong interpersonal skill and communication skills; -       Knowledge of English; -       Good knowledge word and excel; -       Driving license holder;   Any change to the proposed activities should be discussed with the INTERSOS office in Tyre.   A high degree of flexibility on the part of all staff is expected in order to respond to the ever-evolving situation. This job description may change based on the situation in the field. He/she can be asked required to perform other related duties as identified by his/her supervisor (Field Activity Coordinator).   He/she knows INTERSOS Chart of Values, Code of Ethics and SOPs for the use of cars.
