JOB DESCRIPTION   Job Title:                      Awareness Coordinator South Lebanon and Bekaa (Rashaya) Location:                      South Lebanon and Bekaa (Rashaya)   Background   Main Objectives   With the support and supervision of the Project Manager and PM Assistant, the AwarenessCoordinator is responsible of guiding, supporting and supervising the Community Mobilizers in the correct and efficient implementation of the community outreach component of the projects in the assigned areas.   The core activities of the community outreach component are: Awareness sessions on main issues related to Child Protection, SGBV and Hygiene Promotion; Awareness sessions on services available; Community based awareness special events; Youth Peer to Peer awareness mobilization;   Duties and responsibilities:   Provide technical guidance and supervision to the Community Mobilizers for the development, implementation of the community outreach component; Develop IEC material and M&E tools and analysis related to thecommunity outreach component; Ensure timely and quality implementation by the Community Mobilizers of the community outreach component; Provide daily coaching, support and supervision to the Community Mobilizers in the implementation of the community outreach component; Promote and ensure community participation (from both refugees and host communities) inall aspects of the outreach component programming and implementation; Ensuring that local actors and authorities are aware of the community outreach component activities andin all the areas of project’s implementation; Ensuring that all the topics of the awareness sessions are culturally appropriate, age appropriate and gender sensitive; Coordinate and collaborate with the PSS Coordinators to guarantee an efficient and quality implementation of the project’s activities; Coordinate and collaborate with the FACs, the PM Assistant and the PM to guarantee an efficient and quality implementation of the project’s activities; Work under the supervision and guide of the PM assistant and the PM;     Reporting: Report weekly/monthly to the Project Manager and PM Assistanton the activities implementation progress;   Meeting: Be available to participate in meetings in the INTERSOS Center of the areas of work or in Tyre INTERSOS Office. Be available for eventual trainings provided by INTERSOS and provide technical support to the community mobilizers through punctual training and coaching identifying lessons learned and best gateways to reach the projects’ communityoutreach component outcomes. Meet with other INTERSOS projects’ staff as required: conduct punctual meetings for sharing ideas, priorities with projects’ teams’ members.   Qualifications:   -       The qualified candidate must be an experienced Social Worker with extensive experience in programming and implementing outreach components for adults and youths; or equivalent degree with  3+ years in setting up or implementing community based outreach programs; -       In depth knowledge of awareness sessions programming and implementation in the humanitarian context; -       Good knowledge of peer to peer approach particularly with youth; -       Good knowledge of Child Protection, SGBV and Hygiene Promotion main concerns; -       Training experience required; -       Familiarity with IASC Guidelines on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support In Emergency Settings; -       Familiarity with CP Minimum Standard in Emergency; -       Strong organizational and supervisory skills with excellent reporting & writing skills; -       Strong interpersonal skill and communication skills; -       An excellent command of verbal and written English; -       Good knowledge word and excel; -       Driving license holder; -       The selected candidate is expected to daily conduct field visit in South and Rashaya in order to guarantee a daily coaching to the project staff;   Any change to the proposed activities should be discussed with the INTERSOS officers in Tyre. A high degree of flexibility on the part of all staff is expected in order to respond to the ever-evolving situation. This job description may change based on the situation in the field. He/she can be asked required to perform other related duties as identified by his supervisor.   The Awareness Coordinator must know the INTERSOS Chart of Values and Code of Ethics and must ensure that the same knowledge will be address to all the field staff.
