Caseworker- National Staff Position

Position:          CASEWORKER- National Staff Position Job site:           Office-based Saida (25%) and field-based (75%). Report to:         Protection Officer International Status:              Full-time   ______________________________________________________________________________________   General duties and responsibilities: Act according to the guiding principles of GBV and Child Protection case management including: survivor centered approach, respect of confidentiality, prioritize according to safety concerns, ‘do not harm’,  ensure a non-discriminatory approach, act according to the best interest of the child, ensure accountability, respect professional boundaries and avoid conflict of interest; Ensure that protection principles are understood, maintained and enforced; Provide direct support and care for vulnerable case with protection concerns (including survivors of gender-based violence), including psychosocial support and case management.   Case Management: Detect, counsel and follow up individual cases identified during psychosocial activities by the team or referred by other agencies; Conduct psychosocial assessment of vulnerable cases, including environmental, emotional, behavioral, and social factors as well as resources and strengths that impact the individual well- being; Plan with the Senior CW and the P.O National and conduct home visits to assess the living conditions of the cases, when needed, and if the child or the survivor give her/his consent; Ensure the preparation of accurate case plans for high-risk cases identified with clearly outcomes and time-frame. Advocate with different institutions and services providers to help the clients to access needed resources and services; Ensure coordination and synergy with the main service providers in the area of intervention for prompt referral, follow up and information sharing; Manage, fill, archive specific forms for cases profiling, referral and weekly reporting ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness; Monitor and follow up the outcome of the assistance provided; Be available to provide basic emotional support for urgent cases; Manage the hotline according to the internal procedures and under the PO supervision; Ensure the provision of emergency cash assistance for the most vulnerable clients, according to the needs of the clients, the agreed criteria and the internal procedures and under the supervision of the P.O National; Ensure that data protection protocol is respected; Be available to participate in meetings and trainings in and outside the centres including case management meetings and case conferences meetings or any other meetings when required by the P.O National; Accomplish any other assignments given by supervisors or the P.O International and PM.   Psychosocial activities PSS Activities include: Participate and collaborate in other activities (recreational, psychosocial, awareness) conducted in the center or outside when requested by the P.O National; Support the organization of specific events or activities inside or outside the centres.   Monitoring and Reporting Provide daily and weekly updates to the P.O. National about new cases assessed; Support the Senior C.W on the elaboration of the weekly report to the P.O National, P.O International and PM. Contribute to the update of the Intersos case management system.    PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Education and Experience: -   Minimum Bachelor/Degree in Social work, Counseling, Psychology or other related field. -   At least 1 year of experience in social work related to case management in particular in humanitarian crisis -   Experience working with refugee population preferred.   Skills and traits: -   Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination and safety of beneficiaries at all times. -   Excellent communication skills. -   Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility. -   Strong team spirit, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment. -   Positive, professional attitude, organized, composed and prioritizes work under pressure, work overtime when necessary and is         able to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail. -   Ability to work as a member of a team and comfortable in a multi-cultural environment. -   Must be computer literate (Microsoft Word and Excel).   Other requirements Possess of a valid driving license from more than 1 year
