The Community Mobilizer will be located in INTERSOS centre in Mazboud (Chouf). We requested a driving licence and a good knowledge of the area.
General duties and responsabilities:
Facilitate, collect and report information regarding the overall situation of the children and their families in the community structures in the intervention area;
Implement activities (Awareness and PSS) in INTERSOS center and outreach working directly with women, men, youth and children;
Be an INTERSOS focal point in the community and represent the organization.
Outreach Activities:
Conduct awareness sessions within the center or outside, tailored to the needs of beneficiaries of different ages and genders and accordingly to the center activities weekly schedule;
Participate in other activities (recreational, psychosocial and non-formal education) conducted in the center when requested by the supervisor (Senior SW) and/or the FAC (field activities coordinator);
Accordingly to INTERSOS strategy and with the collaboration of the FAC, liaise with local stakeholders, service providers, local government bodies (primarily CDSs) and other community services centers for strengthening joint planning and synergies for community participation;
Support and assist the FAC in the network mapping of resources/actors in the area of intervention;
Facilitate the participation of all the segments of the target population to the planned activities held at the assigned center, notably the most vulnerable ones (refugees, local community, youth, women, elderly, minority members, people with disabilities etc.), ensuring that proper attention is paid to specific emotional and physical needs;
Create a mutual trust with the beneficiary on the community and to be the link between INTERSOS and the community;
Collaborate with the ROV (volunteers) in the community mobilization;
Assist the case workers in the production of a referral pathway tool, clearly identifying both formal and information child protection and GBV resources in the community;
Participate in the organization of specific events in occasion of international celebration, such as the World Refugee Day or other relevant national celebrations;
Plan and implement NFIs distribution in collaboration with the FAC and the Senior SW;
Be available to participate in meetings and trainings in and outside the centers and/or in Intersos Beirut office when requested;
Maintain daily attendance registers and monthly inventory sheets for each activity conducted by him/her;
Ensure that the supplied Centre material is daily accounted for and secured;
Accomplish any other assignments given by supervisors or the PM.
Reporting:
Elaborate a weekly report to be send to the Senior SW, FAC, Protection Officer and Project Manager providing the basic information about the activities implemented;
