Purpose/objective of the position:
The main purpose of the position is to support the implementation of a non-formal education programme in Bekaa district, for Syrian refugee and vulnerable Lebanese children. The Education Field Officer will be responsible to carry out field assessments, monitoring the progress of the projects activities, and be the key focal point with project teachers, students, and caregiver and community groups. Ensuring full inclusion of the most vulnerable children and families is a key responsibility of this role. The role will be based within the concern Zahle office, but will travel frequently to the project sites to meet with the projects teachers, caregiver and community groups, and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities/duties:
Monitor field level implementation of non-formal education (NFE).
Monitor the qualitative and quantitative delivery of NFE classes, such as student progress appraisals, teaching methods, attendance rates, assets management, etc.
Ensure adherence by NFE teachers to the standard operating procedures and codes of conduct.
Conduct regular coordination meetings with NFE teachers, Syrian refugee caregivers and community representative groups to identify activity progress, successes and areas for improvement.
2. Reporting and information management
Prepare weekly reports on qualitative and quantitative data against project indicators.
Prepare weekly planning in coordination with the logistics
Responsible for field level documentation, such as attendance sheets, teacher feedback forms and meeting with parents. Monitor the correct usage of documentation, and support to fill gaps as needed.

Support and promote the standards outlined in the Programme Participant Protection Policy and Concern Code of Conduct to the team, partner organisations and beneficiaries, and be committed to providing a safe working environment.
Work with the NFE teachers and stakeholders to ensure quality delivery of NFE, in a protective environment.
Support Concern’s work in Lebanon by undertaking other tasks as appropriate and required
Skills, Qualifications, Experience and Attitude Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Education from a reputable university
3-5+ years working experience in education, in administration and/or teaching
Working and/or academic experience in Early Childhood Development
Strong written and spoken English, fluent in Arabic
High integrity and willingness to conduct her/himself transparently and open to scrutiny
Strong empathy skills and genuine care and respect for needs of others especially children refugees
A belief in empowering marginalized and disenfranchised people
The ability to work in a systematic and organized manner
Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality
Strong negotiation and listening skills
The ability to prioritize competing demands.

Driving license and availability to frequent field visits across Bekaa
