Educator

  General duties and responsibilities: -       Work directly with teenagers in the INTERSOS Youth Centers and Child friendly Spaces CFS implementing recreational activities, psychosocial activities, informal education activities and soft skill training courses involving parents and community members when appropriate; -       Ensure that child protection principles are understood, enacted, maintained and enforced in the INTERSOS Centers; -       Cooperate and coordinate the work with Team Leaders CFS/CSB and Community Mobilizer; -       Inform the Field Activities Coordinator about any difficulty met during the activities implementation; -       Acts in the best interests of the child.   Specific duties and responsibilities:   Youth Centers - Child Friendly Spaces: -       Plan, organize and run the activities with the teenagers. -       Ensure children under her/his responsibility are not exposed to any form of harm or stress during the activities. Follows security rules. -       Plan and implement ad hoc awareness rising sessions on GBV and CP concerns which address teenagers’ specific needs: Child sexual abuse; Risk of exploitation and human trafficking; Child labor; Domestic violence; Traditional harmful practices (early and/or forced marriage); Peace education and social cohesion activities. -       Teenage girls’ awareness may be coupled with distribution of dignity kits. -       Work with teenagers and for teenagers. During all the time with the teenagers: welcome them; listen them; play with them; guide them; Work hard to make them feel comfortable and happy. -       Plan and manages activities that are: Various; Safe; adapted to the age and the gender of the teenagers; adapted to the physical and mental capacities of the teenagers; adapted to the needs of the teenagers; Adapted to the number of teenagers attending the center. -       Facilitate and encourage the participation of all teenagers, notably the most vulnerable ones, ensuring proper attention is paid to their specific emotional, psychosocial and physical needs / difficulties. -       Be available for eventual training provided by INTERSOS or other organizations. -       Ensure that the provided centre material is accounted for and secured at the end of each day.   Case Management: -       If needed refer teenager attending the activities to the psychologist; Administration: -       If required be the final responsible for the petty cash related to the activities with teenagers; -       Cooperate with the Team Leader in preparing weekly liquidity plan; -       Sign the daily the attendance register;   Reporting: -       Provide the follows reports: a) Weekly activities planning b) Weekly activities report d) Weekly UNICEF monitoring tool   Meeting: -       Be available for participates in meeting in the centre or in Tyre INTERSOS Office. -       Meets with other program staff as required.

Qualifications: - Advanced Diploma in Social Work or equivalent; - 1 to 3 years work experience in implementing recreational activities, psycho social activities and informal/formal education activities with teenagers; - Knowledge CP and GBV issues; - Strong organizational skills; - Strong interpersonal skill and communication skills; - Good Knowledge of English; - Good knowledge word and excel; - Driving license holder; - The candidate should be from the same Area /Nabatieh
