Background
Main Objectives
With the support and supervision of the Project Manager and Protection Officer, the Field Activities Coordinator is responsible for the correct and efficient implementation of the prevention activities and response components of the project accordingly to the identified outputs. In the districts of Tyre, Nabathie,Jazzine and Hasbaya the Field Activities Coordinator is specifically responsible of overall supervision of his/her team for all activities conducted providing support and ensure the progress of the project is followed as planned by the Child Protection and GBV workers.
General duties and responsibilities:
Technical Support
Provide ongoing oversight, leadership, and guidance to overall CP and GBV staff to ensure project meets high quality and best practice standards and prioritizes the safety and security of beneficiaries and staff.
Support the Case and Social Workers through the development of a technically sound work plan and activities consistent with the goals and objectives of the project.
Ensure timely and quality implementation of the work plan, in coordination with field teams.
Strengthen coordination among the prevention and response components of the CP and GBV project, ensuring that there is a comprehensive link and mainstream between the mentioned components.
Support the implementation of the PC principles and GBV Information Management System (GBVIMS) in all sites; ensure that the case workers compiles monthly data and submit it in a timely manner.
Participate in the recruitment of CP and GBV staff and provide objective feedback to staff performance evaluations as per staff job descriptions regarding performance, expectations and areas for growth and professional development.
Specific duties and responsibilities:
Organize weekly/monthly meetings to plan activities of the CP and GBV case workers and Mobile team Community mobilizers.
Ensure monitoring of CP and GBV case workers activities and report on weekly basis to the International Protection Officer: discuss the most urgent individual cases.
Ensure the referral mechanism system is known by the CP and GBV case workers, applied and monitored by the weekly meeting case workers.
Ensure smooth communication and coordination between the GBV team.
Monitor and follow up the outcomes of assistance (Unconditional cash assistance) provided for the children and their care givers as well as to GBV survivors.
Organize meetings with other stakeholders (ex. health care providers, legal counselling, etc.) in the districts of responsibility in order to encourage collaboration to strengthen the referral pathways mechanisms.
Maintain good working relations with Syrian refugee key actors and Lebanese host community local authorities.
Along with INTERSOS International Protection Officer and National Prevention activities Coordinator, conduct meetings with health care providers, GBV focal points at the hospitals regarding quality, functioning and efficiency of the referral pathway where persons at risk and survivors are referred, as requested by INTERSOS.
Monthly meeting with INTERSOS response team (CP and GBV case workers) to listen to concern issues and the functioning of the referral pathways and provide recommendations on how to address gaps.
Administration:
In coordination with the teams, ensure that a weekly expenditure sheet is prepared and delivered to the Programme Manager:
Office running costs of the centers (cleaning services and material, stationary, maintenance, equipment etc.)
Cost to deliver/implement activities
Any related costs for Unconditional Cash Assistance to Children and their Caregivers.
Ensure that all other relevant financial documentation is completed accurately as required.
Reporting:
Ensure the compiling with the teams of a complete weekly reporting on the activities implementation progress
Provide technical feedback on monthly narrative reports from CP and GBV teams ensuring that established targets are being met.
Ensure advocacy issues identified at field level are communicated to International Protection Officer to further share within the CP and GBV Task Force (at national level) and CP and GBV Working Groups in Beirut and Mount Lebanon.
Support the Case Workers to collect and analyze the reported cases: these must be done is strict respect of the mentioned 4 guiding principles and stored in a safe and confidential place.
Provide in respect of planned timeline, the project activities (monthly report of weekly activities).
Meeting:
Be available to participate in meeting in the centre or in Beirut INTERSOS Office.
Be available for eventual training provided by INTERSOS and provide technical support to the social worker (in CFSs, SDCs or CCs) through punctual training and coaching identifying lessons learned and best gateways to reach and detect CP and GBV cases.
Meet with other INTERSOS project staff as required: conduct punctual meetings for sharing ideas, priorities with the CP and GBV staff members.
Coordination and representation: availability to attend the Protection coordination meetings in UNHCR premise when required.
Maintain positive coordination and relationships with partners by liaising and collaborating with other INGOs and LNGOs when required.
