Job Title           : Field Support

Reports to        : Protection Officer – Community services (POCS)

Duty Station      : Roving between the 4 Community Development Centers (CDC) and field office

Position Type    : Full Time

 

Job Purpose:

With the support and supervision of the POCS, the Field support is responsible to ensure that the centers’ logistical and administrative needs are met. She/he will ensure the link between Zahle base office and the community development centers for logistic and administration issues related to the day-to-day management of the centers.  

 

The field support will also oversee, with the support of the POCS and Senior Social Workers (SSWs), the implementation of the community management committees. She/he will be responsible to ensure that they are active and fulfil their TOR as well as will report on a monthly basis to the SSWs on the activities and status of the committees.

 

Generic Duties:

  1. Ensuring proper coordination between the Office and the CDCs
  2. Supporting the activities in the centers through the development of a proper work and supply plan linked to the logistic and administrative needs regarding the management of the centers.
  3. When asked from logistics or project management liaising with local suppliers and landlords to ensure the smooth implementation of activities in the centres.
  4. Work closely with the SSWs to strengthen coordination and collaboration between INTERSOS projects in the same area of intervention  
  5. Ensure the implementation and the active role of the community management committees through close follow and building up their management capacity.

 

Other Specific Duties:

(Can be adapted to the particularities of the job location and the requirement of the project. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hire).

 

  1. Delivering HR and logistics documents as well as material from the CDCs to the Office and vice versa
  2. Collecting the need request of the centres and submitting the purchase requests under INTERSOS management platform  after approval of the POCS.
  3. Liaising with the SSW and logistician for weekly car schedules, movements, and meetings, etc…
  4. Managing the liquidity in proper way, provide on time the right justification papers at the administration
  5. Ensuring smooth communication and coordination between the centres and office.
  6. Delivering ECAPs to the Protection Officer for case management to counter sign
  7. Supporting the SSWs with the centre activities, for example accompanying them to the field when needed.
  8. Communicating to the project manager, security officer, logistic officer, protection manager, and protection officer in case of security incidents, and other activity affecting incidents.
  9. Organizing weekly meetings with the community management committees
  10. Assisting in the implementation of special events in the CDCs (community days, 16 days of activism or others)
  11. Performing other related duties upon request of the supervisor to support the project team and the project implementation process.
  12. Other:
    1. Participate to protection and coordination meetings when needed
    2. Be available for eventual trainings provided by INTERSOS or external stakeholders.
    3. Represent INTERSOS in the area of intervention and maintain positive coordination and relationships with NGOs / INGOs and local institutions present in the field.

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience (including administration, logistic, management and work with communities)
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel)
