Purpose/objective of the position:
The social worker will be responsible of the work planning and implementation of the Community Services activities at the assigned center, carrying out recreational, social and awareness activities to address the target population, with special attention to people with specific needs and vulnerabilities when appropriate, according to the overall project approach and strategy.

Responsibilities/duties:
-Plan, design and monitor the overall implementation plan (weekly and monthly) of the Community Services activities at the assigned centre;
-Develop trust, tolerance and co-operation among community members through peer - led focus groups discussions and awareness sessions;
-Identify, refer or ad hoc assist and follow up vulnerable cases or with special needs;
-Plan, design and monitor informal skills training and life skills training at the assigned centre to facilitate the development of self-management, decision making and self-help processes among the target population;
-Facilitate the participation of all the segment of the target population to the planned activities held at the assigned center, notably the most vulnerable ones (Youth, women, elderly, minority members, people with disabilities etc.), ensuring that proper attention is paid to specific emotional and physical needs.
-Liaise with local stakeholders, service providers, local government bodies (primarily CDSs) and other community services centers for strengthening joint planning and synergies for community participation.
-Identify and engage community volunteers in the planned socio-recreational activities held at the assigned center;
-Maintain daily attendance registers and monthly inventory sheets for each assigned center;
-Ensure that the supplied centre material is daily accounted for and secured;
Skills/Competences:
A minimum Bachelor degree in social work or other related field of studies;
Minimum of 1 -2 years of relevant NGO experience;
Ability to work independently and under pressure;
Experience of implementing and developing participatory approach;
Strong organizational, diplomatic and communication skills;
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish positive relations with target communities and project team;
Stress-resilient, able to cope with deadlines and complex problems;
Good computer literacy;
Working knowledge of English desirable.
