Position: HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER - National Staff Position

The HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER works under the supervision of the INTERSOS COUNTRY ADMIN- FINANCE OFFICER and is responsible for ensuring effective, efficient and right balance of staff in terms of skills and experience. INTERSOS is looking for a dynamic person, eager to learn and to develop him/herself.
TASKS/DUTIES:
1) Administer employee files and records in order to ensure accurate payment of salaries, benefits and allowances:
- Document new employees
- Prepare new contract/amendment
- Keep and maintain each staff dossier in order and update (Contract, amendment, CV, ID, pictures, Warning letter, all the documents as from Staff recruitment policy, resignation letter, leave requests, sickness certificate, etc.)
- Keep updated each staff/contract according to the Salary scale & prior verification with project managers and head of mission on changes in scales
- Verify and report on benefits payments such as (Transportation & Family allowances)
- Verify annual leave records and keep clear balance overview
2) Administer the monthly payroll in order to ensure that employees are paid in an accurate and timely manner;
- Prepare and send to PM/ HoM the monthly file for their check
- Prepare the Payroll file for all the Mission taking into consideration regular salary reviews; employee’s contributions and deductions
- Collect a copy of payroll duly signed by staff and PM
- Prepare the consolidated Monthly staff file to be uploaded in PN and to be transmitted to the Lawyer
- Prepare the monthly salary request of transfer for the bank
- Prepare the monthly transfers for SI and Income Tax by project to INTERSOS general account
3) Maintain a well-organized follow up on staff through:
- Preparing the monthly attendance sheet format, collecting and checking the Monthly attendance sheet for Sour staff
- Maintaining the leave management system, updating leaves and holidays in staff leave file
- Keeping up-to-date Sour Employees and Special Consultancy files
4) Additional typical activities
- Working closely with various departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to implement policies and procedures
- Preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, participate in interviewing and selecting candidates
- Developing and implementing policies on issues like working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management
- Interpreting and advising on employment law > in coordination with INTERSOS focal point for NSSF and Labour Law
- Any other task not mentioned but needed
Skills and traits:
- Demonstrated understanding of Lebanese labour law
- Demonstrated excellent computer literacy (Excel, word, e-mail)
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- Arabic native speaker
- Excellent communication and organization skills
