JOB DESCRIPTION/PURPOSE
INTERSOS is seeking qualified candidate that shall make sure that data coming from different field sources are accurately and consistently entered in ad hoc databases, cross-checked and validated before being processed. The IMC will always reconcile data entries with hard copies, maintain beneficiaries’ confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential. The IMC will work on transforming questionnaires into ODK forms on tablets. He/ She shall possess strong Microsoft access skills in order to set accurate databases. In addition, the Enumerator shall participate in all activities related to the Food security and Livelihood sectors upon the request of line manager.
Duty station : Baalbak
Working area: North Bekaa (including Aarsal and Mashareaa Al Qaa).
Generic Duties:
Objective 1: Data processing and management:
- Enter data in a timely and accurate manner into spread-sheets and access database.
- To collect all documents needed for the database and maintain an up-to-date database for tracking issues that requires follow-up.
- Assist in GIS tasks and designing maps based on generated statistics.
- Taking the lead in transforming assessments into ODK forms.
- Prepare updated figures and information requests after reconciliation data entries with hard copies, to ensure accurate outputs.
- Process beneficiaries and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies or returning incomplete documents to the implementation team for resolution.
- Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
- Support the team members in conducting implementation and monitoring activities as requested by the project manager.
Objective 2: To support the functionality and relevance of the database:
- Operate the database through data entry including data upload and ensuring proper synchronization.
- Cross check and ensure data quality before sending reports.
- Support the operation of the database for data output through ensuring regular updates.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of the database and files.
- Respect the confidentiality of the collected data.
Objective 3: Ensure the proper quality of the data entry and reporting:
- Enter the data collected by the field team into the database after checking the quality.
- Extract data for external reporting (Activity Info, RAIS, and others) and upload/submit inputs once requested.
- Ensure consolidation of database and its regular cleaning.
- Participating in the improvement of the implementation methodology through discussing the weak points, and proposing improvements related to database and data collection tools).
- Export and adapt data collection tools into existing data collection platforms.
Objective 4: Data analysis and Development:
- Provide any data analysis report (Qualitative and quantitative) under Project Manager Request.
- Provide relevant analysis of the collected data and produce information related to project indicators.
- Support the design and development of data collection and analysis tools.
- Generate comprehensive data for reporting on key variables (gender, geographical, demographical, type of vulnerability…etc).
Objective 5: Ensure proper archiving and backup of the collected data:
- Arrange all files in proper manner.
- Ensure proper archiving of hard and soft copies.
- Conducting regular backups to the database and information files.
Level of studies: BA or equivalent education in relevant field.
Professional Competencies:
-1 year relevant experience required in Information management/ Computer science.
- Previous experience in humanitarian Work (preferable in data management).
- Experience with statistics, data sorting and extracting information.
- Experience in GIS and mapping.
- Computer literacy (Excel, Word, outlook and Access) is mandatory.
- Experience in transforming questionnaires into ODK forms and dealing with different data applications.
- Good analytical and Reporting skills
- Driving License

This job description could be modified or amended by the Project manager when necessary, depending on the program needs.
