  Project component: Under the project “Protection of vulnerable children and women from violence, exploitation, abuse and neglect in South Lebanon and Rashaya” INTERSOS implements prevention and response activities. In Rashaya district the activities are run in the Women Safe Space (WSS) in Dar El Ahmar and in the villages of El-Rafide, Kherbit Rowha, Rachaya El Wadi and Dahr El Ahmar. In collaboration with the staff already on board (psychologist, lawyer, case workers and community mobilizers, field activity coordinator), the midwife will be involved in both activities through specialized support and counselling to women at risk, survivors of SGBV, and children affected by Child Protection concerns. This assistance can include health counseling/advice/information, support in dealing with medical procedures and providing trainings on (referral pathways for) GBV and CP to healthcare providers. The midwife will also be requested to provide counseling support and advice to the INTERSOS team in dealing with particular health challenges related to Child Protection and support to survivors of SGBV in Lebanon.   Case management: Based on the individual case-plans, the midwife will provide survivors of GBV (both children and adults) that are receiving case management support from the INTERSOS caseworkers, with specialized services and information, in particular by; -       Providing individual counseling support regarding Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) including family planning; -       Providing individual support in dealing with pregnancy, including support to cases of early pregnancy or unwanted pregnancies; -       Providing individual awareness to survivors of early marriage and/or at risk of early pregnancy regarding the medical consequences of early pregnancy and how to mitigate these risks; -       Providing support to survivors that have contracted sexual transmitted diseases, or that are facing other physical complications as a result of the incident, including complications affecting their sexual and reproductive health, in coping with these consequences.   The case management activity will be realized mainly in the Women Safe Space at Dahr El Ahmar. This center is not however a health center. To ensure all cases (both GBV and CP) can receive the medical support they may be in need of, it is therefore the responsibility of the midwife to support the caseworkers in: -       Maintaining good relationships with healthcare providers in the area, in particular with health facilities providing Clinical Management of Rape (CMR). Where needed, the midwife will support the caseworkers in the establishment of referral pathways with health care providers, to ensure ethical and safe referrals in both directions; -       Providing counseling to CP and GBV cases regarding the options available for medical support; Based on the needs, accompanying cases that need to access medical facilities to ensure cases are provided with the appropriate support in an ethical and safe manner;     Awareness activities: Based on the assessment of the community mobilizers and of the psychologist, the midwife will provide counseling/advice and information on health issues during awareness sessions and focus group discussion with women and girls.   Others: -   Provide support to the community mobilizers on how to address sensitive issues in the community -   Provide support to the community mobilizers regarding the health component of activities at the community level. -   Provide support to the case workers regarding the health component of activities at the WSS -   Participate in staff meetings as required;   Meetings: -     Attend meetings and workshop/training as requested by the Project Manager and the Protection Officer. The protection officer and the consultant will meet at least once a month together with the caseworkers involved to discuss the status of the cases receiving support of the midwife -     Ad hoc meetings can be called for to discuss highly urgent cases. -     Incidentally, the consultant may be requested to join meetings in Sour with the Project Manager and/or provide specialized support in awareness sessions and focus group discussions in Sour and Nabatieh regions.     Reporting: -     On a monthly base, in advance of the monthly meetings at the end of each month, the consultant will provide -   the Protection Officer with an overview of the support provided through the case management.  This overview will consist of an overview of what has been done for which case in collaboration with the case workers, as well as a narrative component that explains the status of each case, challenges and opportunities, and the suggested way forward for each case -   the Project Manager with an overview of the support provided through the outreach activities (awareness sessions and focus group discussions with women and girls). This overview will consist of an overview of what has been done in collaboration with the psychologist and the community mobilizers, as well as a narrative component that explains the topic discusses, the feedbacks received from the community, the major gaps in the health services and the solutions/advices given.   -     On a weekly base, the consultant will provide a plan of her/his activities and the main topics to discuss during the week, to be developed in deep in the monthly report.   Monthly and weekly reports have to be sent to the Protection Officer and to the Project Manager.   Supervision: -       For the activities concerning the case management the consultant will report to the Protection Officer for Case Management based in Zahle -       For the outreach activities the consultant will report to the Project Manger based in Sour.     The field activity coordinator in Rashaya will be the person in charge of the general organization of the activities in Dahr El Ahmar center and in Rashaya district, included the activities of the midwife.

The ideal candidate:
- has received training in the Clinical Management of Rape (CMR), and/or experience in supporting survivors of GBV,
- has experience in providing (awareness about options for) family planning services and is familiar with SRHR core concepts.
With the support and under the supervision of the Project Manager and of the Protection Officer, the midwife is in charge of
i) providing specialized support to survivors of SGBV, Women at Risk, and children affected by Child Protection concerns, that are already receiving case management support under the INTERSOS programme in Rachaya and
ii) ii) Providing health specialized counseling to women and children though awareness session and focus groups discussions.
