Project Manager

Project: Emergency food assistance to vulnerable conflict-affected registered Syrian refugees in Bekaa, Lebanon.   Job purpose The position is aimed at ensuring the proper and effective implementation of all activities planned to achieve the intervention objectives and expected results, including all related administrative and financial aspects, as well as at providing technical support to the mission strategy and programme.   Generic duties   Programme   -          Preparing, managing and regularly updating the project activities work plan and related financial plan, ensuring timely and quality implementation in compliance with the defined project strategy as well as INTERSOS and donor guidelines. -          Analyzing the geographical distribution of the targeted beneficiaries for food assistance in the project areas to define the exact locations of intervention as well as properly organize the e-cards distribution and the shops selection. -          Coordinating with logistic, administration and finance staff to procure all equipment, supplies and materials required to implement the project activities, ensuring cost efficiency and accountability in compliance with INTERSOS and donor regulations and procedures. -          Developing in coordination with relevant actors and set up the monitoring, complaint and appeal mechanisms necessary to guarantee quality and effectiveness of assistance. -          Undertaking daily field visits to provide technical guidance and supervision as well as regularly monitor the progress of the project activities. -          Continuously assessing, analyzing and evaluating the impact of the project activities and the needs of the target populations in the project areas, periodically update the situation analysis and inform programme colleagues accordingly. -          Working closely with colleagues to ensure the integration of the project activities with other sectors/projects as part of INTERSOS programme in Lebanon. -          Preparing the project narrative and financial reports, according to INTERSOS and donors per monitoring and reporting per requirements. -          Supporting the development, implementation and evaluation of the mission strategy and programme in reference to the Food Security and NFIs Sectors providing inputs and recommendations for new and ongoing interventions in the Country.   Human resources   -          Completing the recruitment and selection of the project national staff. -          Training, coordinating and supervising/managing the project national staff and evaluate their performance.     Working relationships   -          Establishing and maintaining collaborative relations with relevant donor officers, local authorities, partners, project stakeholders and other organizations working in the project areas. Proactively participating in Food Security (e-voucher), targeting and NFIs (voucher/e voucher/in kind) distribution sectors as well as relevant inter-sectoral coordination meeting at national, regional and district level

- Minimum 5 years of project coordination and management work experience.
- Previous NGO experience.
- Previous line management experience
- Experience of working in a multicultural team environment.
- Experience of working in insecure environments and adhering to security measures.
- Proficient in MS Office (i.e., Word, Excel, outlook etc.).
