Psychologist

  Generic Duties:    1     Support INTERSOS staff to improve the quality of specialized services provided (specialized psychological services, group therapy, individual counseling and basic Sexual Reproductive Health services) for SGBV, child protection (CP) cases and individual at risk;    2     Provide psychological support for GBV and CP cases;    3     Monitor from a technical point of view the activities conducted in and around INTERSOS centers, providing  advices in order to improve their implementation;    4     Report to the National Protection Officer for Case Management (NPO/CM) and other technical staff (Psycho social coordinator) any problems and/or training needs identified during the monitoring of the implementation of psychological activities;    5     Produce and maintain in an accurate way a weekly and monthly report of the activities conducted;    6     Informs the NPO/CM about any difficulty met in INTERSOS activities implementation;    7     Be available to train on psychological support and first aid INTERSOS staff, Community Based Organization (CBOs) staff and Social Development Centers (SDCs) staff  when requested;    8     Collaborate with INTERSOS staff in conducting any other trainings when requested by the NPO/CM;    9     Accomplish any other assignments given by the NPO/CM or the Protection Manager.    10   Be available to participate in meetings in INTERSOS offices or other identified premises.    11   Provide to the NPO/CM a monthly report on the activities conducted.   Specific Duties:    1     To provide to GBV and CP cases that are receiving case management support from the INTERSOS case workers individual counseling and individual awareness;    2     to organize on the base of a monthly plan regular focus group discussion in and around the Women Safe Space (WGSS) of Anout and Baaqleen;    3     to organize on the base of a monthly plan regular awareness sessions on psychological related topics in and around the WGSS of Anout and Baaqlen;    4     to provide support to frontline workers and other staff on how to address psychological and sensitive issues at community level;    5     provide support to frontline workers and other staff on how to implement specific psychological  related activities in the field;    6     to participate in monthly meeting with the NPO/CM  to discuss and finalize the schedule of activities to be realized in the field;    7     to participate in the monthly meeting with the NPO/CM  and case workers to discuss about the status of cases receiving support;              a     to participate in ad hoc meetings to discuss highly urgent cases;              b     to provide on a monthly base, in advance of the monthly meetings with the NPO/CM at the end of each month: -       an overview of the support delivered through case management activities: a brief of what has been done in collaboration with case workers, as well as a narrative component explaining i) status of each case; ii) challenges and opportunities and iii) suggested way forward for each case; -       an overview of the support provided through the awareness sessions and focus group discussions; -       a brief of what has been done in collaboration with the case workers, social workers and other staff member as well as a narrative component explaining i) topic discussed; ii) feedbacks received from the community; iii) major gaps in the psychological services and iv) solutions/advices given; -       a plan of the activities to be conducted in and around the Woman and Girls Safe Space (WGSS) in Mount Lebanon    1     to identify trends and gaps;    2     to provide input as requested for relevant project proposals on GBV;    3     to maintain and establish relations with other stakeholders present in the field working in the same sector in order to create complementarity;    4     to participate in the preparation of the weekly “liquidity plan”.     Competencies:  (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)     Professional Competencies: -      Understanding and commitment to child’s rights and protection -      Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience and 1 in NGO -      Computer literacy (Word, Excel, outlook) -      Analytical and reporting skills -      Driving License   Behavioural competencies: -     High confidentiality and respect. -     Ability to work under pressure -     High degree of flexibility -     Excellent interpersonal and  communication skills
