JOB DESCRIPTION   Job Title: Psychosocial Activities Coordinator South Lebanon (Sour and Nabatieh districts) Location: Tyre, Lebanon   Background   Main Objectives  With the support and supervision of the Project Manager (PM) and the Project Manager Assistant (PMA), the Psychosocial Support Activities Coordinator (PSS Coordinator) is responsible for the correct and efficient implementation of the PSS projects activities in the assigned area.   Duties and responsibilities:   Provide technical guidance to the development of the project’s PSS component; Develop plans for PSS activities with children, youth, parents and caregivers and for any person in need of Child Protection (CP) or at risk of Gender Based Violence (GBV), ensuring timely and quality implementation in the field; Provide coaching, support and supervision to the teams (animators, educators, community mobilizers) in the field on the implementation of the PSS activities; Support PSS activities with parents and caregivers; Support focus group discussions with parents and caregivers; Develop analysis on the results of M&E tools adopted to measure the impact of the PSS activities; Provide training to the staff on psychosocial support planning and monitoring and on psychosocial first aid; Provide technical trainings to the staff identifying lessons learned and best gateways to reach the projects’ PSS outcomes; Coordinate and collaborate with the Field Activities Coordinators (FACs), the Psychologist, the PMA and the PM to guarantee an efficient and quality implementation of the project’s activities; Work under the supervision and guide of the PMA and the PM.   Reporting: Report weekly/monthly to the PMA and to the PM on the activities implementation progress and their impact on the field.   Meeting: Be available to participate in meetings in the INTERSOS Centers of the area of work or in Tyre INTERSOS Office on a weekly base; Meet with other INTERSOS projects’ staff as required: conduct punctual meetings for sharing ideas, priorities with projects’ teams’ members. Be available for eventual trainings provided by INTERSOS and/or by any other International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) / Non-Governmental Organization (NG; Meet with other INTERSOS projects staff presents in the same area in order to coordinate the work in the field; Be available to realize punctual intervention in other regions where the project is implemented (Bekaa and Mount Lebanon) upon the request of the PMA and PM; Maintain positive coordination and relationships with institutional partners, INGO and NGO by liaising and collaborating when required. Qualifications: The qualified candidate must be a mental health specialist or with a psychosocial background with extensive psychosocial programming experience; or equivalent degree with  3+ years in setting up or implementing psychosocial programs; In depth knowledge of Psychosocial programming in the humanitarian context; 3+ year experience implementing PSS activities with children, youth and caregivers; Familiarity with IASC Guidelines on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support In Emergency Settings; Familiarity with CP and SGBV Minimum Standard in Emergency, Training experience required; Strong organizational and supervisory skills with excellent reporting & writing skills; Strong interpersonal skill and communication skills; An excellent command of verbal and written English; Good knowledge word and excel; Driving license holder; The selected candidate is expected to daily conduct field visit in order to guarantee a daily coaching to the project staff.   Any change to the proposed activities should be discussed with the INTERSOS officers in Tyre.\   A high degree of flexibility on the part of all staff is expected in order to respond to the ever-evolving situation. This job description may change based on the situation in the field. He/she can be asked required to perform other related duties as identified by his supervisor.   The Psychosocial Support Activities Coordinator must to know INTERSOS Chart of Values, Code of Ethics, CP Policy, GVB standards and SOPs on the use of cars.
