Position: REFUGEES OUTREACH VOLUNTEERS COORDINDATOR - National Staff Position
Job site: Office-based Sour (25%) and field-based (75%).

The ROVs Coordinator will be responsible to lead and coordinate the INTERSOS ROVs Program in the South of Lebanon (Saida – Sour – Jezzine – Bint Jbeil – Marj Ayoun – Nabatieh – Hasbaya Districts), under the supervision of the INTERSOS Protection Officer and in deep coordination with UNHCR Sub-Office.
S/he is expected to promote a participatory approach among the INTERSOS ROV in order to involve refugees’ representatives in the identification of needs, in developing a sense of community and strengthen community support systems.
This position requires strong coordination with the different teams in the 7 areas of intervention; the ROVs Coordinator will ensure through direct coordination and monitoring that the ROVs are implementing the required tasks on time and acting in the interest of the Refugees and Local Communities.
This position also includes responsibility related to the reporting of the general INTERESOS Protection program implemented in South Lebanon
TASKS/DUTIES:
1. Coordination of the ROVs
- Plan, Monitor and Supervise the activities of Refugees Outreach Volunteers (ROVs) active in the INTERSOS Protection program in South Lebanon
- Supervise the activities related to identification, follow-up and awareness implemented by the ROVs in accordance with the tools and procedures used by INTERSOS.
- Support and manage a pool of ROVs in their daily activities; ensure distribution of tasks within the teams.
- In collaboration with the line manager, work closely with the other organizations in order to ensure smooth coordination.
- Promote regular ROVs mentoring and couching sessions based on identified needs and gaps.
- Communicate regularly with the ROVs teams for updates on achievements and challenges.
- Undertake field visits to provide technical guidance and supervision as well as regularly monitoring of the progress of the ROVs project activities.
- Any other relevant Coordination activities as required.
2. Monitoring & Reporting
- Ensure accurate quality reporting on the ROVs activities, feeding into weekly and monthly reporting to be prepared by the Project Manager.
- Contribute to the drafting of internal and external reports (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) according to INTERSOS and donors requirements ensuring that reports are of a high quality and submitted on time.
- Support in entering data and provide/prepare update to ensure monthly overview of SGBV & CP cases (gender, age, typology, referral, follow-up and cash assistance info to be included).
- Ensure the data-entry for the RAIS – Refugee Assistance Information Session.
- Make sure the accuracy and secrecy of data entered into the CMS.
- Assist in ensuring that hardcopy project documents are available in digital document files for documentation purposes;
- Support in producing partial information reports originating from the data collection and analysis.
- Maintain regular and positive collaboration with the colleagues to harmonize approaches and methodologies of response, share challenges and best practices.
3. Coordination & Representation
- Proactively participate in protection and relevant INTERSOS coordination meeting at the national, regional and district level.
- Liaising with field-offices of humanitarian agencies and coordinate with UNHCR Sub-Office to ensure field concerns and challenges are brought to relevant stakeholders.
Professional Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor/Degree in Social work, Counseling, Psychology or other related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in team coordination in particular in humanitarian crisis
- Experience in training and/or building capacity of team members through coaching and mentoring.
- Experience working with refugee population preferred.
Skills and traits:

- Ability to provide technical support, trainings and supervision of caseworkers.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Must be computer literate (Microsoft Word and Excel).
