Job Purpose:
Act according to the guiding principles of GBV, PwSN and Child Protection case management including: survivor centered approach, respect of confidentiality, prioritize according to safety concerns, ‘do not harm’, ensure a non-discriminatory approach, act according to the best interest of the child, ensure accountability, respect professional boundaries and avoid conflict of interest.
- Ensure that protection principles are understood, maintained and enforced;
- Provide direct support and care for vulnerable case with protection concerns (including survivors of gender-based violence), including psychosocial support and case management;
- Supervise and manage Case Worker team.
Generic Duties:
- Plan/coordinate with the PM and the Case Workers team; and in high-risk cases, in consultation with protection advisor for the South, to avoid duplication;
- Conduct home visits to assess the living conditions of the cases, when needed, and if the child/the survivor/the PoC give her/his consent;
- Ensure the provision of emergency cash assistance for the most vulnerable clients, according to the needs of the clients, the agreed criteria and the internal procedures and under the supervision of the Protection Manager and Project Manager;
- Be available to participate in meetings and trainings in and outside the centres including case management meetings and case conferences meetings or any other meetings when required;
- Be available to participate in events, meetings and trainings in and outside the centres including case management meetings and case conferences meetings or any other meetings when required by the Project Manager;
- Accomplish any other assignments given by supervisor or the PM; and
Monitoring and Reporting
- Provide daily and weekly updates to the Project Manager and/or Protection Manager about new cases assessed as per internal rules;
- Elaborate on a monthly basis assessment, monitoring tools and send all case management documents to the managers each month;
- Elaborate and send the weekly report to the managers.
- Collect the data about cases assessed and assisted by case workers in her/his team to update the internal online case management platform (weekly and monthly reporting);
- Ensure the effective filing of cases, GBVIMS and other reporting;
- Update and report on PCAP/ECAP to PA and Reporting Associate; and
- Update and report on BIAs and BIDs to PM and Reporting Associate.
Other Specific Duties:
- Monitor and assist the caseworker(s) in the safe space and provide evaluations;
- Ensure a proper handover to the caseworker(s) when on leave, including a clear plan and division of tasks, approved by the Protection Coordinator;
- Review the cases submitted to the online platform by the caseworkers and to make sure that everything is submitted on time and correctly;
- Collect cases weekly from OVs to submit to the OV Coordinator;
- Collect the data about cases assessed and assisted by case workers in her/his team to update online case management system for weekly and quarterly reporting;
- Conduct assessments of protection cases for inclusion in cash assistance programs; and
- Act as focal point in South Lebanon for: BIAs, BIDs and the GBVIMS or delegate to another CW in absence.
Outreach and community based activities:
- Conduct awareness raising sessions on protection topics in the centre or in the field;
- Coordinate with other organizations and internally to organize and plan awareness raising sessions;
- Support the work of the outreach volunteers (OVs) in identifying and referring protection cases and work with the OV Coordinator when necessary, to collect information and plan activities and meetings;
- Support the organization of specific events or activities inside or outside the centres, including Solidarity Initiatives, in collaboration with the OV Coordinator; and
- Support the Outreach Volunteer (OV) program, including assisting the OV Coordinator when events and meetings take place in the center.
Education:
University Degree in Social Work, Psychology or equivalent
Competencies: (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Professional Competencies:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience;
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel);
- Reporting skills;
- Driving License.

- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Languages:
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English
