The RES.Q Project is a vital initiative in Southern Lebanon, aiming to implement an integrated solid waste management system that promotes a circular economy model. Serving a population of approximately 80,000, including 7,000 refugees, the project processes around 26,000 tons of solid waste annually from 22 towns. The planned facility in Kfartebnit will include a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) with two lines:
- Line 1: Designated for sorted recyclable materials waste and will serve as a standby for Line 2.
- Line 2: Designated for sorting source-separated composting material and comingled waste.
