Psychosocial Support Consultant

IR seeks to contract local consultant (individual/firm) to train the field team (volunteers) who will be responsible for implementing the group activities and awareness sessions (for children and parents) and providing field coaching sessions. The main goal of the service is to train 15 volunteers on the mental health and psychosocial support tools and methodologies. the objectives of the service are: - Conduct needs assessment of the project target groups (sample method not complete survey), in collective shelters (At least 3 collective in Saida area). - Provide needs assessment report contains: background, methodology, list of needs and priorities related of mental health for kids and suggested activities appropriate to intervene. - Formulate the training program, including training material, evaluation forms, training place and related tools. - Organize and conduct the training workshops (At least 10 training days, 50 hrs). - Coaching and follow-up of trainees in the field (At least 10 visits). - Formulate overall report of the training and coaching process. - Helping the Syrian refugee’s children to regain their psychosocial wellbeing and decrease their psychosocial distress and sufferings. - Mitigate the impact of trauma and violence lived by the refugees through animating positive communication, counseling, debriefing sessions and individual treatment. - Providing safe spaces for children and their parents throughout psychosocial support services and programs. - Training and empowering the relief social workers and volunteers on how to deal with traumatized cases and sensitize them on issues related to mental health and displacement, wars and emergencies. - Enhancing the resiliency of the Syrian refugee children through psychosocial animation workshops, programs.
