Preparing bill of quantities (BOQ) for the unit technically evaluated on the field. Field supervision of the construction/ rehabilitation of the water well and the tanks. Regular visit to the construction sites assessing the quality and quantity of the work done by the contractor (very good knowledge of materials, specification and prices) Dealing with contractors/ workers/ self- help beneficiaries. Attending weekly meetings on the field with all the interested in this work. Reporting the construction/ rehabilitation situation of the project. Report back on logistics requirements, and fill out procurement forms when necessary. Ensure and promote efficient and cost effective use of IR’s assets and resources in order to maximize funding to beneficiaries. Ensuring closure of work by the anticipated date. Follow up the rehabilitation of the existing water well. Monitoring installation of water tanks at different sites for distribution. Follow up the construction of water tanks with the contractor and the beneficiaries. Follow up the construction of water treatment unit and the related operation room. Monitoring water trucking delivery (volume, quantity and system of delivering), working closely with the local partner. Monitoring water quality (chemical and bacteriological) at different water points (water tanks, wells, etc) Monitoring water chlorination working closely with the local partner Informing and documenting the anomalies and the repairs carried out in the water systems, and the material necessary for the project’s activities. Coordinate with IRL staff and key stakeholders (municipalities, chiefs, suppliers, refugees, and WASH Committees) regarding WASH services in all its aspects. Ensure that standards (e.g environmental, quantity, quality) are followed during service provision. Gather and share appropriate information that would enhance the project implementation. Ensure that all WASH Services- related data (e.g baseline assessments, activity monitoring) is well managed and provides an accurate representation of the reality on the ground. Submit regular reports to line management.
