The Climate Change and Environment in the Arab world program launched in 2008 aims to understand the climate change and environment policy process in the region, to define the most appropriate policy recommendations by linking development in applied sciences on issues related to climate change and environment to social sciences, develop an information bridge between research and policy making and to influence national and regional debates in International negotiations on climate change and sustainable development through analytical research. The program's approach is to tackle questions in a multidisciplinary approach using both social and applied sciences perspectives.
Project Description:
The field assistant will be working on a research project on additional costs in different economic sectors in Lebanon due to seasonal drought.
The Field Assistant’s tasks include:
Conducting field or/and phone surveys and interviews with appropriate stakeholders
Data entry into proper data formats
Assisting research team in data analysis
Eligibility and Qualifications:
BSc./BA in environmental studies, social sciences, economy, agriculture or any related field
Time and detail oriented
Excellent MS Office ®skills
Survey and interviewing experience is a plus
Easy mobility in all regions across Lebanon
