J.A.D Association (Jeunesse Against Drugs), founded in 1981, is the first association in Lebanon and the Middle East dedicated to drug prevention, addiction awareness, and promoting healthy lifestyles, particularly among youth. Over the last four decades, J.A.D has implemented a wide range of programs that aim to prevent drug use, provide education and awareness, engage youth in positive activities, and strengthen community resilience. The organization works with schools, youth centers, families, and community groups to reduce the social, health, and economic impacts of substance abuse through educational campaigns, workshops, community outreach, and sports-based initiatives.
Position Overview
J.A.D Association is seeking a Grant & Project Proposal Writer (Consultant) to join its team remotely and provide professional support in developing high-quality project proposals for local and international donors. This is a flexible role designed for a skilled professional who can work independently, manage deadlines, and produce well-structured proposals that reflect the organization’s mission and goals. The consultant will play a key role in ensuring that J.A.D’s projects are clearly articulated, aligned with donor priorities, and competitive for funding opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop innovative project concepts, proposals, and funding applications tailored to donor requirements.
Write, edit, and review project proposals, concept notes, and expressions of interest for international and local donors, embassies, and foundations.
Collaborate closely with program teams to collect technical information, program data, and budgets required for proposals.
Prepare logical frameworks, work plans, timelines, and basic budget narratives as needed.
Ensure proposals are compliant with donor guidelines, deadlines, and quality standards.
Identify and research new funding opportunities, including those listed on platforms such as Daleel Madani.
Maintain accurate records of submissions, feedback, and donor communications.
Contribute to the organization’s resource mobilization strategy as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
Proven experience in grant writing or proposal development for NGOs, civil society organizations, or international development projects.
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a strong advantage.
Understanding of donor requirements, funding cycles, and proposal formats.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Knowledge of youth programs, prevention, health, education, or community development is preferred.
Experience working remotely and independently is highly desirable.
Work Arrangement
Fully remote position with flexible hours.
Consultant may work from home at times that suit their schedule, provided deadlines and deliverables are met.
Assignment may be short-term, project-based, or ongoing depending on organizational needs and available funding.
