General Purpose of the position The bookkeeper and HR Officer is responsible for the correct and timely recording of all expenses, the monitoring of the cash books, the keeping of the staff files, the payroll, preparation for monthly payments and the organisation of the recruitment process.  Main Responsibility of the Position 1. BOOKKEEPER Perform bookkeeping, following JRS procedures. Ensure that: All transactions are properly recorded. Vouchers are numbered and reconciled. Cash reconciliations are duly done (weekly) 3. All supporting documents are provided and attached to vouchers. 4. All supporting documents, vouchers and invoices are scanned, filed and archived. 5. The monthly financial report is, and its timely transmission, together with all supporting documents, to the Country Office. 2. HR Officer Keep the staff files updated and complete. Maintain strict confidentiality. Work closely with the Country HR officer. Ensure that all staff is trained on JRS policies. Prepare the monthly salary payments which include the verification of the timesheets and ensure proper filing of the monthly payroll. Facilitate the recruitment process and the interviews, as well as advise the Project Director in his decision. Staff care, which includes availability for employees and the follow up on concerns. 3. Ensure prompt execution of other tasks which are within the ambit of a Bookkeeper and HR officer which may be requested by the Project Director as needs occur.
