Main Responsibilities of the Position
1. Administrative and Logistical Support
- Assist the Education Officer in planning, coordinating, and managing school activities and programs.
- Prepare purchase requests, maintain stock records, and ensure classrooms are adequately supplied (stationery, educational materials, equipment).
- Supervise support staff (cleaners, guards, food preparation staff) and maintain their attendance records.
- Oversee student registration, daily attendance, and outreach processes; ensure accurate data entry and record keeping.
- Collect and archive documentation and Means of Verification (attendance records, lesson plans, assessments, progress reports, etc.).
- Support logistical arrangements for trainings, meetings, and events.
- Monitor classes, playgrounds, and student movements (arrival, dismissal, and recess) to ensure safety.
2. Educational Support
- Support educators in preparing materials and resources for educational sessions.
- Enter and maintain registration, enrolment, and attendance data in the database.
- Assist in scheduling and organizing exams.
- Ensure educators’ presence and punctuality in classrooms.
- Support the Education Officer in meetings with parents/guardians regarding student attendance, behaviour, and discipline.
3. Student Engagement and Safety
- Monitor student discipline, attendance, and academic progress (including test results).
- Contribute to establishing and maintaining a safe, supportive, and orderly learning environment.
- Maintain positive and effective working relationships with students, staff, and parents.
4. Representation and Communication
- Ensure JRS Lebanon is visible and represented positively, maintaining unity within the center.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with students, teachers, and parents.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 1–2 years of work experience; experience working with refugees is a plus.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
- Good cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Highly approachable, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (in both Arabic and English).
- Previous experience in school administration is an asset.
