General Goal: The school administrator is responsible for supporting the school principal in all administrative tasks to ensure a proper running of the school.
Main Responsibilities of the Position
1- School Management
- Helping in all office work (filing, recording, planning…).
- Having direct contact with the students and assisting them whenever needed.
- Ensuring that students attend scheduled periods throughout the school day in case of absence of the school principal.
- Preparing and maintaining student lists and school records.
- Providing required help for the preparation of report cards (grades) and behavior reports to parents.
- Gathering data regarding the needs of students according the school principal’s direction.
- Managing the building (bills are paid, electricity/water available, etc…)
- Supervising support staff (cleaners and guard).
2- Educational
- Helping in the daily management of the school (arrival of students, class entrance, exit from the school and an establishment of an adequate school discipline).
- Keep the insurance records for the children.
3- School Environment and Staff
- Making sure to take proper notes during the meeting and share them with the team.
- Establishing professional and respectful relations with students, with parents and with staff.
4- Relations with Project Office
- Ensuring that student records are complete and up to date.
- Presenting on time all records and reports as requested by the project office.
- Establishing and maintain an effective inventory system for all school supplies, materials and equipment.
- Providing a monthly request for procurement of school supplie.
- Working in close collaboration with the principals but reporting to the Project Director.
