Sports Tutor – Bar Elias

Main Responsibilities of the Position

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate physical education lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
• Teach a variety of sports and physical activities, including team sports, individual fitness, and recreational games.
• Promote physical health, wellness, and safety practices.
•  Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
•  Organize school sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
•  Maintain equipment and ensure a safe environment for physical activities.
• Encourage student participation and inclusivity in all activities.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student development.
• Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour
• Organizes daily and monthly lesson plans.
• Attends trainings, with a follow-up mentoring and observations by JRS.
• Ensures a safe and effective learning environment.
• Adapts lessons to address the needs and abilities of each student.
• Participates in weekly tutor meetings and attends parents' meetings as needed.
• Adheres to JRS policies at the educational centre.
• Collaborates with Education Officers and Field Special Educator on inclusion activities and events.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Bachelor’s degree in physical education, Sports Science, or a related field.
• Experience in teaching or coaching sports is preferred.
• First aid and CPR certification is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and team working skills.
• Good cultural awareness and sensitivity.
• Trustworthy and good listener.
• High sense of discretion in always dealing with confidential matters.

• Experience in working with refugees is a plus.
