Justice without Frontiers (JWF) is a secular, nonpolitical, nonprofit, nongovernmental, juristic civil organization, incorporated in November 2005 and headquartered in Beirut. Its role is to develop and promote democratic reform and rule of law, and undertake legal and social projects that support human rights. Justice without Frontiers attracts volunteers, professionals, and passionate individuals who believe in human right principles and are dedicated to work towards prosecuting violators and supporting victims who have no access to justice, at the national, regional, or international levels.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Compile and maintain a database of international and local donor.
Regularly monitor donor websites and identify and inform donor opportunities matching the work of Justice Without Frontiers.
Develop and update a donor mapping matrix, which maps current and potential donors for CARE International in Lebanon, their priorities, policies and anticipated calls for proposals. As part of the process, the Awards Management Officer will also
Write concept notes, project ideas and project proposals and ensure their timely submission.
Undertake independent research in finding alternative resources for long-term sustainability of the organization
Undertake online research and build contacts with potential individual donors and raise funds for the activities of the organization.
Conduct narrative researches to be included in the project proposals.
Maintain relationships with existing donors and respond to their requests regularly and keep updating them about the work of the organization.
Suggest other innovative ideas for effective resource mobilization.
Skills and Competences:
Bachelor’s degree required, with a major in English/Communications /Marketing preferred.
Three to five years of relevant experience fundraising and writing proposals
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic –French is a plus
Strong writing and editing skills and ability required.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels are required. •
Solid understanding of standard corporate proposal formats and templates
Must be highly organized with proven skills managing and tracking assignments and deadlines.
Ability to edit or rewrite sections of proposals to ensure readability and adherence to win themes
Must be detail oriented and have the ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment on multiple priority projects
Ability to work independently, including prioritizing within demanding time frames. Able to work with a wide range of stakeholders including community based organizations, local NGOs, local government and officials, donors, and colleagues;
Excellent organization and planning skills;
Quick learner, agile, flexible, adaptable to different organizational cultures and operating environments;
Commitment to quality and support of process improvement and implementation.
